Re: What South Carolina Has Stepped Up To Do For Federal Workers

I have a son who's an Air Traffic Controller. He has savings from his earlier jobs, but he is working another job during the shutdown. Drives a semi delivering slurry (fracking mud) to NG fields. Not sure he can keep it up for long working two full time jobs. How smart of him to get his A licence when he could as a "back up".

He's a Marine (no such thing as an ex Marine),  so Marines get it done, they always have a plan B.

I'm proud to be everything liberals hate.

And would certainly prefer to be working vs. needing Soosie's charity.  Now if Soosie really wanted to help these Federal workers, she'd call her states Federal representatives and demand they quit holding Federal workers hostage.  Seems like the Christian thing to do.

It is a shame for all of us that FEDERAL WORKERS have to resort to charity just because one man is so vain and narcissistic that he must have a VANITY WALL memorializing his presidency.

Maybe SC is just late to the table....

Outpouring of generosity for TSA workers, others not receiving pay

I don't know of anything happening at the state level (Illinois). I have seen countless articles on food pantries stepping up due to more donations from those of us who are donating more. At the same time, some rural, downstate communities have cut down on their school lunch programs because they have so little cushion of cash. So, school lunches are more limited in these areas.

But that doesn't get the bills paid. We're going to have a bunch of well-fed people living in their cars.

It’s everywhere. ..........................What????? I'm sorry, I am not following this post.

All places that have signicant numbers of federal workers are all doing the same thing.

Our local bank is offering interest and fee free loans to Federal Workers who are not being paid because of the shutdown.

The loans will only need to be repaid after the Federal employees recieve the pay that fake president Rump has denied them..................................This is good news. I am glad some plans are in place. It just took a little time to see what would work best and to get the plans set up properly. Thanks for sharing.
