Rker, I think that if Trump succeeds in firing Rosenstein and thus derailing Mueller's investigation, we need to do more than wait for November. I think we need to show up in our GOP representatives' offices, as we did before the bill to dismantle the ACA last year. We need to show up in our GOP senators' offices. I think we need to call them again and again. We need to flood them with protest.

We need to show that we support an independent FBI and that we won't condone obstruction of justice. We know that these senators and representatives are thinking about their political futures. They're transactonal. Let them know how expensive their connivance will be.

My GOP rep was anti healthcare. he stopped showing up LOOOOOOOOONG ago.I dont think he has been here in 2 years. Its a red district..but there are some very dedicated dems.

So it begins.

For fuller context, here is the New York Times article on the Nunes memo.

When asked whether he would fire Rod Rosenstein, Trump said, "You figure that one out." When asked whether he had confidence in Rosenstein, Trump refused to answer. The purpose of this memo is to give Trump cover for firing Rosenstein and replacing him with someone who will impede or stop the Mueller investigation. That's Trump's next step.

Is so funny how come his lawyers have to come out afterwards and try to save Trump's  behind.
I am sure you have already know  what they said last night and now Trey Gaudy who apparently has read the Memo, before it was redacted by the NUnes staff, tweeted last evening that it did not contained anything that could be construed as impending or making the Mueller investigation in any way not credible.
We will see if Trump can behave and stay still or really rush his demise. as President  and hopefully go back to his own business, they need him. to go to Russia and build a  hotel.

According to Wikipedia, "Propaganda is information that is not objective and is used primarily to influence an audience and further an agenda, often by presenting facts selectively to encourage a particular sythesis or perception..."

In other words, the so-called Nunes memo is classic propaganda. It presents facts selectively to encourage a particular perception within a particular audience (Trump supporters). It omits facts that contradict this perception, and is released first to regime-friendly media.

The memo was written by two Nunes staffers, Tash Pavel and Derek Harvey. Harvey was formerly a White House aide, counsel of staff for Michael Flynn. He moved to Nunes' staff after being fired by General McMaster. Nunes refused to deny that Pavel and Harvey had written the memo in consultation with the White House itself.

Nice to see you weigh in cat.  Hard to curb propaganda and still maintain freedom of speech.  Reliance on ethics won't help if those who employ it have none.  Sigghhhh.

Let them know you're aginst the US and Russia consolidating their political and military powers.  If legislators are not actively working to stop this Treason, they will be taken out, maybe to a jail cell somewhere.

I am hoping that this will be the reaction of the American people. I hope that they demand fron Crongress and the Senate to end this madness and to go back to our rule of law and our Republic .

The time to talk, the time to complain is now over. the time for action is upon us. Yes flood the phones of the Senator and Representative, let them know how much in danger of loosing their job they are.

Americans need to stand together disregarding  of personal views or Party, this is America and now our freedoms are at stake.
