@rk9152

We accepted the results of the 2016 election...to the point that we are fed up with trump and want him out of office. And where are the mob scenes that you are referring to, unless of course you are referring to gassing women and children on the southern border.

And one thing that I drew from Scout’s post, voting is a right and obligation...why does trump try to inhibit and discourage voting...fear...phantom voter fraud...or has he accepted the election results? He did lose by 3 million!

What Democracy looks like is actively campaigning for your preferred candidate, driving people to the polls - doing whatever you can to see that your candidate wins.

What Democracy does not look like is refusing to accept the outcome of an election. It does not look like a call for constant disruption of the legally elected government in the Congress, in the Courts, and with loud, disruptive mob scenes in the street. That is the pathway to anarchism.

What Does Democracy Look Like?

Here's a link to a TED talk that does a great job explaing how we should all relate to Government. My favorite line was: In the face of tyrany, averice and injustice, voting is not a right, it is an obligation. But there's a lot more wisdom if you listen and think and it's encouraging to know the folks in 15th century Italy had avery good understanding of what Good and Bad meant in relation to Government. We need to become as wise.
