Just for record 2016 was a presidential election year.

And yes, as a Democracy we do declare some opponents as being evil...and oppose them and in some cases go to war with them. It’s one reason that our Country still exists and some areas of the world have freedoms.

I understand that some do declare those of differing views to be "evil" (Nazis fascist, etc). Some classy people even say stuff like  "Trump sucks". But the issue is  - is that what Democracy looks like?

What Democracy does not look like is refusing to accept the outcome of an election. It does not look like a call for constant disruption of the legally elected government in the Congress, in the Courts, and with loud, disruptive mob scenes in the street. That is the pathway to anarchism.

This is the thinking that gave birth to Republican's Nixon Southern Strategy, which begat support from Nazis, KKK and White Supremacists which begat ACCEPTANCE of Nazis, KKK and White Supremacists which begat CONTROL BY Nazis, KKK and White Supremacists who gave us Gerrymandering and Voter Suppression to deny the Will of The People and minority vote legislative majorities. THIS is the pathway for Tyrants.

Why should ANYONE accept an election rigged by a hostile foreign power?

How do you see the acceptance or non-acceptance of the outcome of an election related to all of that jazz???

Accepting the triumph of Evil is EVIL, a thing all good citizens must resist.

What you propose is like accepting the results of a bank robbery because the crooks got away with it.

Democracy is not based on seeing the opponent as EVIL and, as a result saying that the Constitution and elections can be discarded.

What path should be taken when evidence leads to the inescapable conclusion that the actions of a hostile foreign power have resulted in a mentally unstable treasonous pathological liar - a wanna-be Mafia Boss - being elected - resulting in the demeaning and degrading of the White House, the office of president and obvious harm to the United States of America?

What path should be taken - when the administration has become a kakistocracy, and it has been unmistakably obvious for multiple years that at least half of trump's followers and supporters are the kind of readily and easily scammed ninnies and fools who could never hope to be capable of correctly answering the questions in the test that immigrants must pass on their path to become Naturalized American Citizens?

So how do you explain that the "popular vote" does not prevail?  We've seen the games before, no?

If I recall correctly, the mob scenes were mostly happening at the "Make America Great Again" propaganda of "I'll pay for the legal fees" if violence happens, no?

We accepted the results of the 2016 election...to the point that we are fed up with trump and want him out of office. And where are the mob scenes that you are referring to, unless of course you are referring to gassing women and children on the southern border.

And one thing that I drew from Scout’s post, voting is a right and obligation...why does trump try to inhibit and discourage voting...fear...phantom voter fraud...or has he accepted the election results? He did lose by 3 million!

2016 was not a Presidential election year.
