If Trumps thinks it's ok for his campaign to accept help from a foreign government, why has he been squawking nonstop that the Mueller Report found no collusion? He certainly seemed to think there was something illegal about it when he was worried he could be indicted for it.

Hilary did not "accept' she and the DNC solicited and paid for the help they got, And then there was the money Slick Willy got from Charlie Trie that was certainly "help". I think that within the context, The President dealt with  Strpanopoulous very well,

rk9152:   Let's face it, the Dems didn't "accept" they solicited and paid for such info last time around - and now (and ever since) the have been whining about "accepting".

I doubt this will help, but here's the difference. I assume you're talking about the Clinton campaign hiring Christopher Steel for the Dossier? If not, then disregard this.

What that campaign did was legal and above board for this reason: Christopher Steele was a freelancing private investigator selling his services, and not affiliated with a foreign government. He would have had no sway over Hillary (if she had won), unlike a foreign government that could ask favors in exchange for keeping mum about the help they gave. Once a candidate accepts help from a foreign gov., that gov has  kompromat that can be used to blackmail or influence the person they aided. Christopher Steele was simply contracted by the campaign to do a job, he did the job and was paid, then he was out of the picture permanently. That is legal. Do you see what the difference is now?

Trump says he doesn't have to follow the law

Intelligent people know what Trump said, and more importantly, how he's acted in office. He has no respect for the rule of law.

Instead of cooperating with the House investigation of the Mueller report, Trump BLOCKS every subpoena. We want a president who puts the country first and wants to do something about Russian cyberattacks on our society. But don't hold your breath waiting for Trump to do what's right and that's perfectly OK with his cult members.

After all, they're far more concerned with protecting Trump than they are about protecting America.

Unless some one has a quote of him actually saying that, we seem to have another fraudulent topic.

Let's face it, the Dems didn't "accept" they solicited and paid for such info last time around - and now (and ever since) the have been whining about "accepting".

What is the difference between talking to the foreigner and saying, 'No, funnel it to me thorough xyx (the more common approach - like Slick Willy did with the campaign money from China)?

The real venom comes from a man in the White House who does not accept the rule of law. He hired an attorney general who works for him instead of the Americans people.

Nancy Pelosi is correct, this man should not be impeached, he should be jailed. A man like him in any other country would be considered a traitor I guess we are lenient with our transgressors.

He doesn't lie, why should he.? he opens his mouth and spits whatever comes to his mind and nowt he seems tohave grown more arrogant that ever. and I in a way can understand. there are no mechanisms that will hold him accountable.

so impeach him,and then what?

Oh my  even,  donald's second best favorite news commentators are having difficulty spinning this.

Brian Kilmeade, a “Fox and Friends” host, called on Trump to clean up the comments.

“You don’t want a foreign government or foreign entity giving you information because they will want something back,” he said Thursday morning. “If anybody knows that it is the President. There is no free lunch. If someone wants information they want influence. I think the President’s got to to clarify that…He opened himself wide up to attacks.”

DUH!    why some here don't get it....brainwashed, but by whom?

Trump got away with it in 2016, it worked for him before, Trump didn't go to jail, and his base or his party won't hold him accountable.

The road map for future Presidents,  the death of the rule of law, and the extension of a managed democracy and inverted totalitarianism

Trumps BASE and the GOP

THE DEMOCRATS WON'T HOLD HIM RESPONSIBLE

Trump just gave the GREEN LIGHT to every Rogue Leader & Brutal Dictator to Spy on Americans

Trump also gave the GREEN LIGHT to every Corrupt Politician in Congress of anywhere else to go to our Foreign Adversaries to get Oppo Reseach on their opponents

Trump also gave the GREEN LIGHT to every Conspiracy Theorist in the USA to not only spread Home Grown Conspiracies but getting them from mysterious unamed unknown sources from anywhere out of the Country is OK too

Oppo Research from Unvetted Sources creates Mass Hysteria in a Already Uninformed American Public - we get......

Pizzagate conspiracy theory falsely claimed that the emails contained coded messages referring to human trafficking and connecting several U.S. restaurants and high-ranking officials of the Democratic Party with an alleged child sex ring involving the restaurant and pizzeria Comet Ping Pong, located in Washington, D.C

The restaurant's owner, James Alefantis, told The New York Times: "From this insane, fabricated conspiracy theory, we've come under constant assault. I've done nothing for days but try to clean this up and protect my staff and friends from being terrorized."[10]

On December 4, 2016, Edgar Maddison Welch, a 28-year-old man from Salisbury, North Carolina, fired three shots in the restaurant with an AR-15-style rifle, striking walls, a desk, and a door.[41][42][43] Welch later told police that he had planned to "self-investigate" the conspiracy theory.[44] Welch saw himself as the potential hero of the story—a rescuer of children.[45] He surrendered after officers surrounded the restaurant and was arrested without incident
