More attempts to side-track the thread?  The Mueller investigation has nothing to do with this topic.  And what does porn stars have to do with it?  Bringing that up is like someone saying they only read Playboy for the articles.

So you object to the fact that the Coast Guard didn't miss their end of month paycheck?  All because a way was found to fund it?

The porn star reference is about the fact that Trump cheated on his latest wife with a porn star and then tried, unsuccessfully, to buy her silence. You must have read about it. It was in all the papers. It shows his moral code and inability to get anyone to take him seriously as a deal maker.

I object to Trump causing the 800,000 federal employees to either have their paychecks delayed or missed entirely and then try to take credit for finding enough money to keep one branch of the military open for business a few more weeks.   Keeping the government open is his base job and he can't do that.

We should find out which laws Trump has broken when the Mueller report and the results of discovery in the emoluments lawsuits are released but to the topic.

Finding a way to pay the Coast Guard would be called funding the government. It is the basic task demanded of the party in control of both houses and the presidency. Applauding Trump for doing his job is like dancing around the kitchen every time he does NOT sleep with a porn star.  (yeah, I like those analogies because they show off so many ways he is a sleaze ball)

The money to pay other departments had already been appropriated.  Any money that is being used to pay employees are from those that has been funded but not used.

Trump simply broke another law and his lofo base CHEERS!

Without an appropriation, no disbursal of funds from the Federal Government is LEGAL.

Do you have something against finding a way to pay those in the Coast Guard?  These were funds that were already appropriated.  Of course if there was a Democrat in the White House you and others here would be cheering them on?

What law did Trump break?

Let's make sure the REALITY is perfectly clear

Trump & Ryan Personally Intervened to PREVENT Coast Guard Personnel from receiving their pay

The US Senate voted 100 - 0 to fund the Entire US Government

Trump & Ryan Personally Intervened & refused to approve a "Clean CR" !

You dont get credit for starting a fire & then allowing the Firemen to use water to put it out

And that has what to do with the Coast Guard being paid and the topic of this thread?

Trump simply broke another law and his lofo base CHEERS!

Without an appropriation, no disbursal of funds from the Federal Government is LEGAL.

Every dollar donny orders handed out comes from somewhere that is NOT designated for pay of active duty Coast Guard personnel. Somebody's going to have to do some very fancy figure-diddling to evade criminal prosecution.

Nice thought, but committing robbery to pay the mortgage is seldom considered a good thing and does nothing for the long-term problem of throwing a TanTrump and shutting down the Government's PAY WINDOW without stopping the activities of those who won't get paid.

There was a gutsy Comptroller of the USMC back in the 80's who decided to grant advance pay to every enlisted immediately before the appropriations EXPIRED when a Republican Congress was threatening another shutdown - said he figured the worst they could do to him was send him to Washington and make him a Comptroller - but that was LEGAL. The appropriation lil donny ignored expired long ago.
