Hilariously, these is a two-fer.   It undercuts Donalds claim that he would have have won a majority, except for the supposed fraudulent voters AND it puts Kobach is a very very harsh light as an abject liar as he runs for GOV.     Propublica has published some harsh exposes of his action and those articles are being supported in Kansas an Missori news.

They found no voter fraud. Another Trump lie or just complete ignorance?

Part of a long range plan that goes way back, this stuff predates the Trump 2013 meeting with Russian Oligarchs.

Trump panel found no voter fraud

So we need voter ID laws to stop voter fraud that doesn't exist .... right?

Wrong, that's not why Republicans need voter ID laws, even the Trump panel can't find fraud.

Why do we need voter ID laws?

So 25 % of the population can rule the other 75% of the population either through gerrymandering, poll obstruction,  or apathy caused by a lack of faith in Democracy.

It doesn't have to be that way, but Democracy won't survive in America if we don't fight for it.

My first thought was, oh, this is yet another example of the Trump administration's quashing government reports that don't fit the conservative narrative.   And @alferdpacker points out similarly, that Nixon did this, too.

Trumpian manipulation of the truth, AKA lies:

Like this environmental one:

https://www.politico.com/story/2018/05/14/emails-white-house-interfered-with-science-study-536950

Like this one on the positive impact of refugees:
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/09/18/us/politics/refugees-revenue-cost-report-trump.html

Or the Trump administration just stops doing studies:

Review of mining ban in minnesota stopped:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/energy-environment/wp/2018/01/26/trump-administration-cancels-de...

Study of the health impacts of surface coal mining halted:

https://blog.ucsusa.org/andrew-rosenberg/halting-a-national-academy-of-sciences-study-is-unacceptabl...

Study of inspections of oil rigs halted:

https://blog.ucsusa.org/andrew-rosenberg/halting-a-national-academy-of-sciences-study-is-unacceptabl...

Department of Treasury analyts barred from studying impact of tax cuts on economy:   https://www.ucsusa.org/center-science-and-democracy/attacks-on-science/treasury-economists-barred-co...

And more.

Another interesting side light is pence. He was a head of this commission just like he headed up the transition team. At first he’s out in front rah rahing, trump is so great. But when things go astray, what happened to pence? Is he hiding behind the curtains! There’s a fraud for ya.

How about a commission on preventing minorities from voting

Pence is only allowed to hide behind the curtains - if he first asks permission from his wife - and is granted permission...

‘The most bizarre thing I’ve ever been a part of’: Trump panel found no voter fraud, ex-member says

Maine Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap, one of the 11 members of the commission formed by President Trump to investigate supposed voter fraud, issued a scathing rebuke of the disbanded panel on Friday, accusing Vice Chair Kris Kobach and the White House of making false statements and saying that he had concluded that the panel had been set up to try to validate the president’s baseless claims about fraudulent votes in the 2016 election.

Dunlap, one of four Democrats on the panel, made the statements in a report he sent to the commission’s two leaders — Vice President Pence and Kobach, who is Kansas’ secretary of state — after reviewing more than 8,000 documents from the group’s work, which he acquired only after a legal fight despite his participation on the panel.

Before it was disbanded by Trump in January, the panel had never presented any findings or evidence of widespread voter fraud. But the White House claimed at the time that it had shut down the commission despite “substantial evidence of voter fraud” due to the mounting legal challenges it faced from states. Kobach, too, spoke around that time about how “some people on the left were getting uncomfortable about how much we were finding out.”

Dunlap said that the commission’s documents that were turned over to him underscore the hollowness of those claims: “they do not contain evidence of widespread voter fraud,” he said in his report, adding that some of the documentation seemed to indicate that the commission was predicting it would find evidence of fraud, evincing “a troubling bias.”

In particular, Dunlap pointed to an outline for a report the commission was working on that circulated in November 2017. The outline included sections for “Improper voter registration practices,” and “Instances of fraudulent or improper voting,” though the sections themselves were blank as they awaited evidence, speaking to what Dunlap said indicated a push for preordained conclusions.

“After reading this,” Dunlap said of the more than 8,000 pages of documents in an interview with The Washington Post, “I see that it wasn’t just a matter of investigating President Trump’s claims that 3 to 5 million people voted illegally, but the goal of the commission seems to have been to validate those claims.”

After a career of more than 20 years that has included stints as a state representative and the chairmanship of a committee on fisheries and wildlife, Dunlap said that his time on the panel was “the most bizarre thing I’ve ever been a part of.”

“We had more transparency on a deer task force than I had on a presidential commission,” he said. “We had probably a dozen meetings. They were all public. We published everything we did in the newspaper and published results, including information we got from the public.”

Just more of the fraud perpetuated by the fascist clown of a president on Americans.

Remember the Nixon Commission on Obscenity and Pornography?

When it found that viewing obscenity and pornography did not cause people to become sex criminals and commit sex crimes - Nixon refused to allow the publication of it and - quite unsuccessfully - lied and tried to suppress it.

Trump the Liar-in-Chief will do the same...

Oh yes - Kobach is a deadbeat who didn't pay court ordered restitution for a lawsuit that was decided against him - and is now being held in contempt of court for failing to obey the court's order that he pay...   Scumbaggus Republicanus...
