True and we also had 8 Fed hikes under Trump. Remember the guy that said "irrational exuberance"? The economy was doing too good in the Fed's opinion and they wanted to slow things down. Trump triggered the hot economy by lowering taxes for individuals and corporations, got many new employees, and expansion of companies. Only liberals think that Trump was irrational doing good things for the economy and the people.

Hey @mickstuder, quit watching CNN and research the Federal Reserve...

You guys a just TOO FUNNY!!

I know for a FACT he Controls The Fed & if he really thinks the Fed is - “out of control” - he could easily correct the Problem - he isn't

Why is that?

President Donald Trump said he won’t fire Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell but blamed an “out of control” U.S. central bank for the worst stock market sell-off since February.

Trump Blames ‘Out of Control’ Fed for Rout but Says He Won’t Fire Powell

President Donald Trump said he won’t fire Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell but blamed an “out of control” U.S. central bank for the worst stock market sell-off since February.

The current Federal Funds target rate range of 2 percent to 2.25 percent is low by historical standards. With the consumer price index up 2.3 percent over the past year, that amounts to an interest rate of zero in real terms.

The president has repeatedly criticized the Fed over the past 24 hours as markets plunged, saying Wednesday that the central bank was “going loco.”

Market analysts, meanwhile, mostly attributed the decline to concerns that Trump’s trade war with China could escalate.

Trump instead has placed blame squarely with the Fed.

Trump Spikes Interest Rates - Dow Dives 830

Set to take another dump today I think.

Try to grow the economy to fast  ( tax cuts ) interest rates go up (  3.25% ) the highest since 2011, the housing market is dropping ( biggest demand drop in 2 years ) trade wars, global economic instability. IMF warnings about  global / US debt.

It all adds up.

Advice :

Pay down debt, don't pile on debt, save for a rainy day.

It's coming.

Republicans can tear up a steel ball.

"Pre-Market Trading" shows another possible negative for tomorrow - down another 200 points. It could change by tomorrow, but still....

The rest of AARP membership will use the AARP web site as we are dues paying members so it is our organization.

===================================================

Last I have read ANYONE can post on this board being a member of AARP does not matter. We have people post that admitted they were not only not member of AARP but were in their 20's.

You are correct and that is one reason we can not have really good discussions, but that does not change what AARP is and does for Seniors. It has experts on every Senior Program and they give reports to members on how well they work and what could be done to improve them. As I said in this months bulletin members got it covered all the programs and told members how they could best take action in Nov. to protect them. If followed about 98% of the Reb. will be gone as the are part of the problem. Now why would anyone who hates AARP even want to post in here. The only reason I can think of is to try and disrupt everything.
