President Donald Trump signed five executive actions Tuesday, moving forward the process to build the Keystone XL and Dakota Access oil pipelines, pushing for the companies to use pipes manufactured in the United States.

“We will build our own pipeline. We will build our own pipes … like we used to in the old days,” Trump said after signing the orders.

Other executive actions included a process to expedite environmental approvals for new infrastructures and a process to streamline regulations.

Trump called the permitting processing “incredibly cumbersome, long, [and] horrible,” and he called the regulatory process “a tangled-up mess.”

By expediting the process, he explained, he could increase the speed of major projects, putting more American workers back to work.

From Fox News:

Keystone XL is facing a new challenge: The oil producers and refiners the pipeline was originally meant to serve aren't interested in it anymore.

Exactly. Just another case of gullible people being had, but I'm betting they will still defend it.

My Dad told me to never bet on a sure thing, because nothing is certain...but in this case, I'd bet the farm Trumpettes will claim Der Trumper created at least 24,000 American jobs with his skillful Executive Actions, and fail to notice when unemployment rises.

They are the same people who said President Obama was violating the law when he wrote Executive Orders. This is high level hypocrisy.

Keystone pipeline spills 210,000 gallons of oil in South Dakota

Wow! That pretty much guarentees the THIRTY-FIVE (35, no zeros) perminant full time jobs TransCanada estimates will be created by the pipeline. Each one will have 6,000 GALLONS of highly toxic tar-sand gunk to soak up a Pamper at a time, so looks like they've got a Job for Life!!

By the way, if we've got all this tar-sand oil, why do gasoline prices still jump overnight by 70cents and then spend the next 3 months inching back down by pennies a week? Could it be all that keystone oil is already being EXPORTED, so the ONLY ones benefitting willbe the ones who own the pipeline? Yeah, definately could be.

Short term Gain for some  jobs while losing more long term jobs.  Not to mention isolating the Native American population and more with the completion of the other pipeline.  No wonder Trump has the lowest approval rating for an incoming Pres. Since Ike.

OPEC will simply flood the market leaving the whole mess a stranded cost.  Trump destroyed an equal amount of jobs for this year by the hiring freeze on Federal employees.
