Interesting collection . . .

  • D'Souza plead guilty to violation of campaign finance laws
  • Stewart convicted of lying and obstruction of justice
  • Blagojevich convicted of corruption

Trump said he thinks these were all false charges (including one guilty plea!) and of course, they were all treated "very unfairly". It's okay with him, just ignore the laws you don't like, it's okay to break them. Pardon, pardon, pardon . . .

That's not just a signal, it's a proclamation broadcast.

But that's alright with Trump supporters; laws don't matter, ethics and integrity don't matter, morality no longer matters, values no longer important, breaking relationships with our long time allies - doesn't matter. Just make Trump king, that's okay with them.

I have already stated what these pardons  seem to be signaling.   And yes, so far, he has not gone thru the process that exists in order for a President to issue Pardons. Yes, Virginia, there is a Process that has not  been followed. and his new toy now is to pardon individuals that have been convicted Felons but he wants to blame overreach by Administrations and as a second look, have been indicted by prosecutors that are not investigated him on the Russian issue.
So, Cohen and Manniford. hold on tight the President will pardon you if you get indicted.

As the investigation of the Trump campaign working with the Russians begins to wind down, Trump is passing out pardons like candy in order to send a message to the people who will looking at a trade off of jail time for testimony.  However,  I suspect Trump's history of unpaid bills and broken business deals is about to hurt his efforts.

I think anyone that has anything to do w/Obama has a good chance of being pardoned. Obama just gets under his skin so much. Maybe because he is a well educated black man, who can speak intelligently and took his education seriously. Somehow Trump missed the boat on that one. Obama is everything Trump is not and for some reason Trump can not stand that. He's letting his law breakers taking the heat for him know he will pardon them, so not to worry.

Trump Considers Pardoning Martha Stewart, Commuting Rod Blagojevich

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump said Thursday he’s considering commuting the sentence of former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, a Democrat, who was convicted of corruption, and pardoning lifestyle entrepreneur Martha Stewart, who served a stint in federal prison after being convicted of charges related to a stock sale. (Martha Stewart endorsed Hillary in 2016).

Hours earlier, Trump said on Twitter that he will pardon conservative commentator and Obama critic Dinesh D’Souza, who pleaded guilty to campaign finance fraud.

Both Martha Stewart and Rod Blagojevich had connections to Trump’s “Celebrity Apprentice” reality television show: Blagojevich was a contestant in 2010 and Stewart hosted the 2005 spinoff series, “The Apprentice: Martha Stewart.”

  • The federal prosecutor who oversaw Martha Stewart’s case in New York was James Comey.
  • The prosecutor who led the case against Blagojevich in Chicago was Patrick Fitzgerald, a Comey friend who is also his lawyer.
  • Fitzgerald was also the special counsel leading the case against I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby, the Bush administration official pardoned by Trump last month.
