The 440-page Health and Human Services rule that religious conservatives call “conscience protections” spells out specific services that health care workers [ ] could refuse to provide or pay for based on their beliefs, such as abortion, sterilization and assisted suicide.

NOTHING UNEQUIVOCAL ABOUT WHAT I POSTED

SEVERAL FEDERAL LAWS PASSED BY CONGRESS

ALLOW ABORTION - PROTECT WOMAN FROM BEING REFUSED HEALTHCARE OF THEIR CHOICE

As the excerpt I reposted clearly shows - Trump is attempting to give Organized Religion the ability to overcome Federal Law

Trump Says Organized Religion Not US Law or Medical Standards Should Determine Who Gets What Healthcare Treatment

That is not true - the proposal deals with who provides the service, not who gets it.

Well sorta - but only in the same way I went to Vietnam & Trump paid a Dr to keep him home

In other words - I provided the Service my Country asked of me - I served the US Law at the Time that demanded Service of all 18 year olds

US Law right now says Abortion is Legal - once again Trump is trying to obstruct & corrupt US Law

As always, double-talk totally unrelated to the post you were theoretically responding.

Trump Says Organized Religion Not US Law or Medical Standards Should Determine Who Gets What Healthcare Treatment

Trump says The Religious Beliefs of a Healthcare Worker - should determine what kind of Healthcare a US Citizen Receives

NOT THE PATIENT - NOT THE DR - NOT THE PATIENTS PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN

The 440-page Health and Human Services rule that religious conservatives call “conscience protections” spells out specific services that health care workers [ ] could refuse to provide or pay for based on their beliefs, such as abortion, sterilization and assisted suicide.

The rule also endorses parents’ rights to refuse specific types of care for their children, including suicide assessments.

Under the broad scope of the protections, health care workers can deny treatment or preventative care for AIDS or HIV, refuse to give hormone therapy treatment and transition-related care, and object to aiding in vitro fertilization (IVF) for women who are single or in a lesbian or interfaith relationship.

HHS Announces Final Conscience Rule Protecting Health Care Entities and Individuals

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office for Civil Rights (OCR) announced today the issuance of the final conscience rule that protects individuals and health care entities from discrimination on the basis of their exercise of conscience in HHS-funded programs.

Just as OCR enforces other civil rights, the rule implements full and robust enforcement of approximately 25 provisions passed by Congress protecting longstanding conscience rights in healthcare.

The final rule fulfills President Trump’s promise to promote and protect the fundamental and unalienable rights of conscience and religious liberty, a promise he made when he signed an executive order in May 2017 protecting religious liberty.  In October 2017, the Department of Justice issued guidance encouraging other Departments, including HHS, to implement and enforce all relevant religious freedom laws.
