They can become citizens if they apply. They're laws and methods in place already? you know that... right?

Then we had... The Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986—signed into law by PresidentRonald Reagan on November 6, 1986—granted amnesty to about 3 million undocumented immigrants in the United States.

That will never happen again the same way. Promises broken and here were are again 30+ years later, with the same problems.

Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is what? ... say it, I know you know.

Reagan included the idea that stopping FUTURE undocumented migration would be to go after the ones HIRING the migrants. Democrats agreed, but Republicans refused to even try to cut off the jobs that attracted the migrants.

That hasn't changed - Republicans will still do whatever it takes to insure their GOPerLords have a large supply of low wage workers who will never cause problems for fear of being deported. Ending the ability of bosses to employ such workers without fear of prosecution and serious jail time is the key.

If you want to end the problem of "illegal aliens" give all those here now, who've not committed a violent crime, a green card, allow their kids to take the citizenship test anytime after their 18th birthday PROVIDED they have not committed a violent crime AND GO AFTER ANYONE WHO EMPLOYS A NON-CITIZEN WITHOUT A GREEN CARD.  It was Republicans' refusal to do that bit in "caps" that prevented Reagan's reform from solving the problem once and for all, so the mistake we cannot make again is: solve the IMMEDIATE problems and then refuse to do anything about the FUTURE problem.

This is NOT about border security. A wall without someone to watch it is useless, and donny hasn't asked for the additional personnel to do the watching.

It's not even about a wall. We already BUILT a wall - 900 miles long covering all the border that make sense to cover.

It's about lil donny's HUMUNGEOUS EGO, and the fact Rush and Annie said bad things about him and will say more bad things unless he wastes at least $5.7Billion on something needless and useless.

sounds/looks like Trump just split his own party. OOOPSSS!!!! Conservatives are NOT happy with his DACA offerings. The longer this shutdown goes on, the more Trump is cracking his own party, and it sounds like its going to get worse before it gets better.

Show you what? That Dreamers have no legitimate path to citizenship? Or that the GAO has required proof of how border fencing helps Border Patrol successfully do their jobs?

There are two GAO reports out there requiring the Border Patrol to show how walls help them do their jobs, and they haven’t provided answers yet. If a wall were the answer, the Border Patrol would have provided the metrics by which to measure success.

It’s virtually impossible for Dreamers to apply for citizenship. That’s why there has to be a comprehensive change to the law.

How will high tech devices stop crossings without methods to delay illegal entry? We'll see them wave to us in the camera, that's about it.... and of course since localities do not report illegals to ICE.... just sayin'.

"stupid wall"

===================================

FYI Wall have and are working...it sounds like you are getting your misinformation from the Ms Pelosi and MSNBC.

There are areas of our southern border without walls that illegals are coming through many with children. We need more walls and Pelosi and Schumer were for walls before Trump...not had for anyone with the ability to think that its about the hate for Trump and to hxxx with keeping our country safe and also keeping the illegals from dying in our desserts.

High tech technology would secure our borders today in a far more effective way than a WALL.

Continuing to use the "dying in the desert" rant accomplishes nothing. Time would be far better spent educating one's self on the technology available today that could be used for border security.

So the left knows (again) the solution for illegal immigration better than the border control agents?
