Re: Trump GOP Claim Protecting Pre-existing Conditions

I find it incredible that so many Americans don't bother to seek out information or read for themselves.  That is why Trump has such a strangle-hold on his minions.  They just blindly accept and believe and then parrot whatever lie he puts forth.

This "LIE" that the Repubicans are now advertising and campaigning on, that they want to "save" the pre-existing conditions clause in the ACA, is an out and out lie.  And yet, Trumplican followers have bought the bait all while they're suing to kill that very clause.

So to make it simple, the reason Republicans want to get rid of this VERY IMPORTANT CLAUSE is because the insurance companies who lobby repubs  heavily, want to make as much money as they possibly can and so by DENYING healthcare to the chronically sick, they will keep more money in their coffers.  And "that's" the bottom line!

The Republican bills to screw Americans with pre-existing conditions will pass if they still control the Senate in 2019. They LIE when they say it protects those with pre-existing conditions BECAUSE what they DON'T tell you is their bill has no limits on what the insurance company can CHARGE if you have a pre-existing condition - PPACA aka Obamacare CAPS the additional charge at an affordable level.

Furthermore, the GOPers will screw over American Seniors TWICE because their bill allows companies to charge more if you're older, as much as 750% MORE, plus the additiona lcost fo having a pre-existing condition.

Basically, Republicans will deny around 24 Million Americans who now HAVE health insurance because they will not be able to afford the premiums - but the insurance will still be available in case you win the lottery before you die, which for lying Republicans is good enough for the middle class because they know their lofo base will never bother to read about what they're really doing, and Fox will keep telling them its going ot be just fine UNTIL THEY HAVE NO HEALTH INSURANCE.

Then Yertle McConnel will kill Medicare and Social Security because they need the money to pay for the $1.2 TRILLION handout they gave Corporate Oligarchs.

Actually, except for whiners who whine and never tell anyone if they lost their physician and WHY, they are nothing but distractors from the real fact that the GOP really want to cut benefits and allow policies that exclude or deny pre-existing conditions.   Those short term policies are cheaper - which is the only metric that the whiners seem to care about as long as they are unaffected.

Limited Benefits

Short-term plans often exclude or severely limit benefits that ACA-compliant plans are required to cover, including prescription drugs, maternity care, mental health, and substance use treatment. Excluding people with pre-existing conditions eliminates a substantial amount of expenses in each of these benefit categories, but excluding the categories altogether further reduces spending and premiums.

Eliminating prescription drug coverage reduces premiums by an estimated 13%, after accounting for the reduction from excluding people with pre-existing conditions. This estimate is based on analysis of prescription drug expenses paid by private insurance for people without pre-existing conditions. Since the survey data on which this estimate is based do not account for rebates provided by drug manufacturers to insurance companies, it is likely slightly overstated.

Yes, healthcare is a consideration for many in this election...but not by as many so-stated die hard republicans, only 20 % of them care about the health of all our nations people, so they really are not Pro-Life, they are pressing for a subtle form of genocide.

PRO-LIFE is Affordable Healthcare for ALL .

Trump GOP Claim Protecting Pre-existing Conditions

Trump & the GOP Hypocrits Are All Claiming They Are  Protecting Pre-existing Conditions

Twenty GOP Led U.S. states target protections for pre-existing health conditions

A lawsuit by 20 U.S. states seeking to invalidate protections against those practices contained in the Affordable Care Act (ACA) could allow just that - and older people will be hit hardest.

A lawsuit by 20 U.S. states seeks to invalidate pre-existing condition protections contained in the Affordable Care Act (ACA). A pre-existing condition is any disease or condition for which an applicant for health insurance has sought medical care. The lawsuit also seeks to remove ACA provisions regarding community rating. Here, community rating refers to the setting of insurance premiums without adjusting for a person’s health status.

The lawsuit, Texas v. Azar, was filed in February 2018 by Texas and 19 other states.

The US Attorney General has refused to represent the American People in this suit against Obamacare - The ACA is US Law

In fact Sessions has filed a legal brief in the case that says the ACA pre-existing conditions provision is unconstitutional

Trump claims GOP is protecting people with pre-existing conditions. Evidence says otherwise.

The president may hope to soften the blow from Democratic attacks, but the facts don't support his midterm message.

As the midterms approach, President Donald Trump has increasingly pitched his party to voters by embracing a wildly popular element of the health care law that the president and congressional Republicans spent the last two years trying to repeal.

“Republicans will always protect people with pre-existing conditions,” Trump said on Saturday in Nevada.

“All Republicans support people with pre-existing conditions, and if they don't, they will after I speak to them," he tweeted last week. "I am in total support."
