EasyEd illustrated what happens when you listen to Fox everyday. He totally misunderstands tariffs and how they impact us. The U.S. is not suffering from tariffs, we are far and away the number one economic powerhouse on the planet. If tariffs were hurting us as Ed claimed, how could we become the dominant economy on the planet?

EasyEd's logic, which is crying like a baby about tariffs hurting the U.S. would be similar to the New England Patriots complaining that NFL rules are unfair to them, as they win championships almost ever year.

Creating tariffs starts a trade war which is bad for American workers and our economy.

The NFL rules are easy to find - do you know where one might find the "Tariff Rules"? Tariffs have been around and fluctuating for many moons.

The intelligence of the Patriots comment is on a par with the obsession with Fox.

Trump Cult members always change the subject. There was no crisis for the farmers until Trump created one with his stupid trade war and tariffs.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This topic has been beat to death and I still haven`t heard why the Dems favor unfair trade tarrifs for the E.U ,Canada ,Mexico and China and against the United States. One Dem poster said we won`t be able to buy cheap products from Walmart and we will have to pay much more for cars. Sounds a little bit greedy to me at the expense of American workers. At one time Bethleham steel was the largest steel company in the world  and is now bankrupt. Since the new tarrifs are about to go in effect US steel is hiring hundreds  of new  workers and overall manufacturing jobs have increased by over 400,000 workers since trump is President. With the booming economy can any Dem give a downside to trying to get new agreement with the tarrifs. How about no tarrifs at all which Trump is promoting. Maybe the cricket lady has a solution.

Now that Obama has saved the economy from the Bush recession, Trump is trying to take credit for job creation.  I guess that is just politics 101 but we all know most of this is follow on to the Obama recovery.  I would also point out that Trump has a long way to go and he can't keep cutting taxes and then passing massive spending bills to make it happen.

Atkinson, co-author of a 2015 report called “The Myth of America’s Manufacturing Renaissance: The Real State of U.S. Manufacturing,” said that being 1.2 million short of the pre-recession jobs level is just one indication that manufacturing is not back.

“Even more telling,” Atkinson told us, “the U.S. is producing less manufacturing output in the second quarter of 2017 than it did in the last quarter of 2007,” when the recession started.

“Almost 10 years and NO growth in real output. This is not roaring back, or even back,” Atkinson, citing Bureau of Economic Analysis data, told us in an email.

As we've learned, Trump's Cult members were absent from school when logic was taught.

The argument they're currently following like puppets from Trump and Fox, is the U.S. is being taken advantage of by tariffs. Really? If the U.S. is at such a disadvantage, then why do we have a booming economy which is far and away number one in the world? This has been true for decades.

But don't ask a Trump Cult member that question because they can't or won't answer it. RK's response was a perfect example of avoiding the key question.

Actually, as always, rk offers valid and comprehensive answers. When a post starts with "As we've learned, Trump's Cult members were absent from school when logic was taught" and then goes on to include Fox, you really cannot expect any on-topic objectivity.

Bottom line, if a country has higher tariffs on us, that is an imbalance that needs correction. If we had a balance in tariffs, tariffs could disappear.

Which "other countries" have 10%-25% tariffs as Trump has implemented?

When negotiating and you see where the feather hasn't worked, you sometimes go for the euphemistic sledgehammer. It is an ongoing process, not locked in concrete.

Trump sure does love setting himself up to be the hero. First he creates the situation, and then he swoops in to rescue us all from himself. What a fraud!

And "that" is exactly how a narcissist operates!
