I think that's a great idea. Do you have any comments on the subject of the thread?

I'd prefer a link to your sources.... you know 'trust but verify'?  You connected with the oil & gas industry?

And yes, OPEC is part of the problem also, including an increased demands on energy.

I have noted that costs for West Texas crude has been climbing steadily over the past year so it's not a sudden increase.  Gas at the pump has been rising and not at any sudden rate.

Put it this way,  the oil patch is going back to work after the oil glut.

No Tex, that was direct from today's financial pages. But thanks for the compliment.

Maybe you should read them first, before commenting?

  • President Donald Trump is blaming OPEC for rising oil prices, but analysts say his sanctions on Iran are largely fueling a rally in the crude market.
  • Just days after OPEC agreed to increase output to tamp down prices, the State Department sent crude costs soaring by announcing a policy to wipe out much of Iran's exports by November.
  • The policy threatens to leave the world short of oil and rob Americans of the gasoline price relief they usually get in the fall

So now you are an expert on the oil business among being one in most every other area?  Americans have been experiencing price relief on gasoline for the past so many years because of the oil glut where production was cut back because of the low oil prices.  Production cost more than the selling price.

Also gas prices usually increase during the summer because of the demand.

Or was your post just another chance to blame Trump on something else?

plus since he broke the Iran deal that added about 25-40 cents per gallon to the price of gas. How is this making America great again? Please explain.......

As most of us know, Trump and his supporters are never wrong and they never hold him accountable for anything which goes wrong. It's always someone else like Hillary or President Obama. We see that in this forum from our resident Trump Cult members.
