After this past horrific week in the country, it should be even more clear now, why Putin wanted Trump to win in 2016. Any questions?

@ManicProgressive

It certainly does, doesn’t it.

Before trump, to think that we would elect a president who would so seriously undermine our Country in so many areas, and would destroy it internally and externally.

How many of us thought that he probably would not be a very good president, but were we ready for the continuous lowering of standards for the presidency that trump has presented?

Now...we have to get him out, that is our objective!

President Trump vowed in the wake of this weekend's two mass shooting that he will give federal law enforcement "whatever they need" to fight domestic terrorism. For comparison purposes: in 2016, the DHS office that handled domestic terrorism "managed $10 million in grant funding, had16 full time employees, 25 contractors, and a total budget of approximately $21 million." Today, resources within the office comprise of "no contractors, and no other means of supporting existing programs beyond a team of eight full-time employees, and an operating budget of $2.6 million. At the same time, organizations that had received grants under the previous administration to combat extremist ideology in their communities lost funding, and the Trump administratioin decided earlier this year that it would not be renewing programs to fight domestic terrorism." Trump is lying to everyone - do not believe him.

Not only that, but while Trump talks about how "mental illness pulls the trigger, not the gun" and 'red flag' laws, let's not forget he signed a bill shortly after taking office that rolled back a regulation that would have done just that -- adding people with mental illness to the national background check database and blocking people with severe mental issues from buying guns.

Such hypocrisy is mind-boggling.

This still boggles my mind.

Trump ran as a racist endorsed by the KKK  and has spent his entire time in office vilifying non-whites as the cause of all our problems.

How can anyone be surprised he slashed funding to combat extremist ideology when that's what elected him, with a considerable boost from the KGB and Cambridge Analytica, neither of whom are going to be opposed by any agent of the US Government so long as Bonespurso WUSSolini and Yertle McConnell are in office.

@lj9807492

Well said. At this point in trump’s tenure, we have to ask what the underlying intentions are by trump. His administration may say these are unnecessary or costly programs.

But, are the cuts, in reality, a continued attempt to belittle the intelligence community and to reduce it’s effectiveness. To either not be able to investigate claims of white supremacy,

or to investigate the white supremist connection with the trump administration.

The overall actions and picture of trump are certainly becoming a lot clearer!
