i'll type  r  e   a    l slow so GOPerbots can follow along:

1. The Chinese producer sells his product to an American and the American pays the agreed price.

2. But to bring the product into America, the American ALSO pays a TARIFF to the US Government.

3. The sale price of the good is increased by the amount of the Tariff and that higher price is paid by the AMERICAN consumer.

4. Cadet Bonespurs is so abysmally stupid he thinks the tariff money comes from the Chinese.

5. The GOPerBot is similarily deceived because Fox told them some Chinaman was paying the tariff, and good little bots NEVER question Fox.

The Chinese recently devalued their currency against ours which should neutralize the effects of the tariffs but it did affect the stock market.

Bonespuro WUSSolini makes stupid economic decisions BECAUSE HE'S STUPID!

He thinks CHINA pays his infantile tariffs when its the American Consumer who pays. This has already increased the cost to the average American MORE than their piddly share of his gigantic taxscam, but since the tariffs only "pick your pocket" of that part of your income you consume, the 1% feel no effect - while the bottom 90% spend from 98% to 100% of their income and THAT is the portion that pays the tariffs, the Uberrich only spend 30% of income on consumption, hence they feel no impact and will continue to finance Republicans for electyed office.

‘Trade wars are good, and easy to win’

https://www.cnbc.com/2019/08/05/cowen-says-china-trade-war-response-on-a-scale-of-1-10-its-an-11.htm...

Rating China’s retaliation in the trade war: ‘On a scale of 1-10, it’s an 11’

  • Wall Street analysts warn that the U.S. trade war with China has escalated significantly and will likely intensify in the coming months.
  • This is “a new and potentially more volatile phase,” Compass Point told investors.
  • China’s response to new U.S. tariffs is “designed to get the President’s attention,” Cowen says.
  •

Wall Street analysts warned investors to brace for the trade war between the United States and China to further intensify, after it ratcheted up over the weekend to a level that Cowen says, “on a scale of 1-10, it’s an 11.”

“Overnight, Chinese government retaliated against new U.S. tariffs, and it’s designed to get the President’s attention,” Cowen analyst Chris Krueger said in a note to investors Monday.

A Morgan Stanley team of analysts said, “investors should behave as if further escalation will happen in 2019.” If that escalation does come, the firm estimated that a global economic recession will come in the next nine months.

“We take its literal message of planned tariffs quite seriously. There’s a pattern of responding to insufficient negotiation progress with escalation,” Morgan Stanley said.

This is “a new and potentially more volatile phase,” Compass Point analyst Isaac Boltansky said, adding that China’s response “marks a pronounced escalation in trade tensions between the world’s largest economies.”

Good time to remind all that Tariffs (Smote Hawley) are what became the final blow to the US and threw us in to the Great Depression in the 1930. That was a gift of the far right Reb. then. The far right never learns and now repeat the 1930. Just read or listen to what the far right leaders put out and know how little they know. The response we hear from the enablers just proves the experts correct about them.

Having been in China a number of times I can tell you up to now if it was American they wanted it. Buick the largest selling car, Largest MacDonald's in the world, KFChicken on just about every block, Their malls had everything ours had. Boeing supplied most of the planes to their airlines (that is now changing). Their roads were built with American equipment. A lot of their kids came to the US for College. The US had great influence in developing China. Yes China was cheap labor, and that is one reason American Cos. built things there, but before that the south was cheap labor and business built things there. That is business.

American Cos. get a lot of money from China. MacDonald's , and KFC gets  the franchise fees which are huge. That could all end, and their are many other Cos. in that boat. You and I we are told will pay more for goods this year than any tax relief we got from Trump. The numbers are out go look at them. Trade wars have never worked. What do we do. GET RID OF DICTATOR TRUMP IN 2020, and all with an r behind their name. Save this country.

It is astounding to listen to an ignoble donald supporter who seems to be woefully ignorant of how the global economy works.    They are either incredibly stupid or are hoping that everyone reading here doesn't comprehend that China has a myriad of choices from who they can negotiate the buying of agriculatural products.    Are those people really so stupid that they believe that the US is the only nation that sells or will sell agricultural products to China.

US agriculture is what it is today based on its ability to sell its crops to other nations, esp. China.

Are ignoble donald supporters  here so ignoratnt that they will ignore that Donald  has used our tax dollars to bail out farmers to the tune of 30B dollars in an attempt to keep those folks from bankruptcy .

Why do people think we can`t live without China`s imports? Have we sunk so low that we can`t make our own products?  Let China pay higher prices for our farm products and see how long they can hold out. We don`t need their I-phones etc..

It's not the Chinese imports it is the exports to China and other countries.  First Trump destroyed the hog and bean exports to China and now he is using state subsidies to prop up the farmers he has ruined. He has already spent $38 BILLION in choosing winners and losers.  We will get our iPhones from Vietnam and the Chinese will get their agricultural products from Brazil. That looks like a bad deal for America.

But remember, everything Trump touches, dies.
