Yep, Fascism sucks.  Trump is radical, he is authoritarian, he is a nationalist (proven by his appointing Bannon and others), he tries to dictate, he suppresses the opposition.  And ............. Trump using a petition to gain some clout in telling the NFL what to do is Fascist in nature (as per these words provided in a link in the original article posted):

"WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump has stepped up the pressure on the National Football League over protests by its players during the national anthem by launching a petition and asking his supporters to show their patriotism by backing it."

Thanks for the definition clarifying all of that.

I did not see the word "fascist" in the Reuters quote. That is manufactured by the hate cult.

You are the one who posted the definition of the word Fascism which explains Trump's actions. Does that make you part of that "hate cult"?

No, I was copying the definition brought into the discussion by one of your fellow hate cult members. And, again, I did not see the words "fascist" in the Reuters quote. So, what is it's point?

The President suggested a petition regarding the disrespect paid the symbols of our Nation. The topic calls him a fascist for doing that. I, very rationally, asked for an example of Mussolini or Hitler ruling by petition.

Any thoughts on that??

The Supreme Court has ruled that laws prohibiting burning the flag, and other acts expressing disrespect of the flag are unconstitutional violations of right to symbolic freedom of speech - and is now considered a Stare Decisis precedent by those who are the only people in the nation with authority to tell us what the law IS.

Were a fascist-like executive order to be signed mandating specific kinds of actions and speech denoting "respect" for the flag - wouldn't that be an unconstitutional violation of First Amendment Symbolic Free Speech Rights?

After all, wouldn't an agent of Putin or any other seditious agent of an unfriendly foreign power attempting to harm the nation follow all the customary acts and say all the customary things in order to "fly under the radar" and avoid detection - thereby making mandating all those actions and words essentially a futile and useless gesture of questionable value?

It requires quite a bit of use of logical and rational intellectual processes that very few trump voters and supporters have ever possessed - but - just saying it because it's always been true...

Fascism as exemplified by Trump's authoritarian rule and his desire to control an industry .... the NFL.

You conveniently omitted all that!

Is the topic not about a suggested by President Trump?

A suggested what ????????

So, what did I "contrive"?

You contrived a ludicrous statement that the topic's reference to fascism was about fascists ruling by petitions.

If we are to consider "control an industry" as the standard, Obamacare certainly qualifies. I personally consider it more Socialist but I am just using the interpretations of other posters.

It appears that you finally read post #1 and realized your error in the path you have been taking.

So it's my error that the never ending trolling and baiting postings from the Right are just a reality in this group? My, what strange right wing logic must have brought you to that erroneous conclusion.

No, your error is trash talking without being clear as to the content of post #1.

When you start being clear about it others will. It has been explained to you how Trump using a petition is Fascist. Just because to don't want to accept the explanation means nothing to me.

Continue on ...............

Yes, some of the hate cult have SAID that some how or other supporting a petition is Fascist. But , no - no one has explained how a dictator rules by petition. In fact, the "proof" one offers is "trolling and baiting" and "right wing logic" - period.

The denial of knowing what your wormy president was doing and posting continual denial about it is "trolling and baiting".

Fascists do not rule via petition, so this topic is fradulent.

But the topic never stated that .... YOU contrived it ..... made it up!

As such, it is your statement that "is fraudulent"!

That simple reality cannot be changed by typing such childish comments as "worny president".

The "simple reality" is that you presented another "childish" straw man argument with your contrived made up "comments" of what the topic stated.
