Republicans and the right wing trump cultists can put out all the ridiculous and laughable propaganda they want about how bad a president Obama was for this nation.

And they might even convince the totally brain dead that this is correct, however, one can never erase the fact that our country did not go through a major economic depression because of the economic acuity of Mr. Obama.

All I see is a bunch of ignorant non- intellectuals who have no understanding of history or economics or how the world in general works, swallowing a multiplicity of lies and half truths and outrageous conspiracy theories by those who try to manipulate them in efforts to promote their own self-interests.

======================

Sorry that you can not accept the truth about Obama ... that is what this thread is about.

One year ago, Barack Obama's presidency came to an end. His election as the nation's first black president was a major accomplishment for him and for the nation. Time will never erase that achievement.

But as time passes, this may be just about his only lasting political accomplishment; his legislative, regulatory and policy initiatives are disappearing rapidly.

On domestic policy:

- Energy: The Keystone XL Pipeline has been approved. The Dakota Access Pipeline has been approved and is operational. U.S. energy production is up, and gas prices are down. Deep Obama administration reductions in offshore drilling leases are in the process of being reversed.

- Education: The Obama Education Department's Title IX "guidance" to colleges and universities mandating how to treat sexual assault cases has been rescinded. Numerous Education Department programs begun in the Obama administration are being terminated.

- Environment: The Obama EPA's Clean Power Plan to regulate carbon dioxide as a pollutant, the implementation of which was already blocked by the Supreme Court, has been rescinded.

- Labor: The Obama-controlled National Labor Relations Board rule treating franchise chains as single employers for the purpose of collective bargaining has been repealed.

- National parks: Obama's vast additions to U.S. national monuments in Utah have been rescinded.

- Internet: Net neutrality has been repealed.

- Immigration: The Obama executive order on Deferred Action Against Parents of Americans, which was blocked by a federal court, has been rescinded. His Executive order on Deferred Action Against Childhood Arrivals has been rescinded, awaiting potential congressional action.

- Health care: Obamacare has been significantly modified by regulations to allow new, less costly forms of health insurance and by the repeal of the individual mandate. Additional regulatory changes are coming this year. As the health exchanges continue to shrink, the principal impact of Obamacare will be the expansion of Medicaid enrollment.

- Consumer protection: The structure of the Obama-era Consumer Financial Protection Agency has been ruled unconstitutional by the District of Columbia Circuit Court because it is unanswerable to any elected government official. The CFPB is facing additional legal and legislative challenges.

- Economy: The economic recovery beginning in 2009 produced historically slow economic growth, a declining labor participation rate, stagnant wages and increasing food stamp usage. Today's economy is growing more rapidly, the labor participation rate is up, wages are beginning to rise, and food stamp usage is down.

On foreign policy:

- Military: Reductions in military spending and U.S. troop levels are being reversed.

- ISIS: Changes to the Obama rules of engagement for using military force led to the rapid defeat of ISIS.

- Environment: The United States has announced its intent to withdraw from the Paris Climate Accord.

- Trade: The United States declined to join the Trans-Pacific Trade Partnership.

- Iran nuclear deal: The president has declined to certify the Iran nuclear agreement, which the Obama administration negotiated, setting the stage for withdrawal or modification.

- Syria: The president has used military force to enforce Obama's "red line" against Syria's use of chemical weapons.

- Ukraine: U.S. policy toward Ukraine is changing; the U.S. will now send lethal weapons to assist Ukraine in resisting Russian aggression.

- Cuba: Obama's opening to Cuba has been put on hold.

- Israel: The United States and Israel have restored their historically close relationship.

- Egypt: The flirtation with the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt has been replaced by U.S. support for Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi.

Overall, with the exception of a shrinking Obamacare and the CFPB, no significant initiative of the Obama administration remains in place. The near doubling of the federal debt during his eight-year presidency — from $10 trillion to $19 trillion — seems like a very high price to pay for such ephemeral results.

The Obama presidency is vanishing before our eyes. In only 12 short months, the legacy of Obama's presidency is best captured by the motto of a well-known disaster restoration company: "like it never even happened."

Not a very good legacy for Mr Obama...nice guy..not so good a President.

You mention all the repealed work of President Obama, but fail to show how repealing that work is a good thing for Americans.

Some examples:

How is repealing environmental protection orders and allowing pollution to spread a good thing?

How is removing net neutrality, thus allowing Internet providers to gouge American users, a good thing?

How is allowing China to command influence on world trade a good thing?

How is taking away health care from millions of Americans a good thing?

How is shutting out Cuba and now allowing Russia to set up business and military bases in Cuba a good thing ..... especially when Cuba is only 90 miles away?

How is setting the stage for war with Iran a good thing?

How was the massive oil spill from the "approved" oil pipe lines Obama sought to close a good thing?

And BTW, a massive oil spill occurred just as President Obama feared would happen!

How is the deporting of 900,000 innocent hard working people, breaking up their families, a good thing?

And how do Trump and his Republican Fascist bandits plan to to it????

You also conveniently fail to mention that the debt your blaming on President Obama included trillions from two unfunded REPUBLICAN WARS as well as the massive loss of revenue from the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy! And add to that, the trillions for bailing out the country from the Republican/Bush recession .... the worst since the great depression!

And while President Obama received a Nobel Prize, the only prize Trump is qualified to receive is a BOOBY PRIZE ..... as further evidenced by Trump's affair with a porn star!!!

 ---------------------------------------------

The only thing you posted KidBoy2, is just a whole lotta HALF TRUTHS.

And HALF TRUTHS create WHOLE LIES!

A very good point. For example, are you sure that all 900,000 people here illegally are "innocent" (obviously not) and "hard working"?

Nope .... "NOT obviously". Only wishful thinking on your part!

"Republican Wars" - are you including the one that the Dems voted for? Are you including the one that Obama called "The Good War"?

The Republican wars that were sold under false pretense .... you conveniently omitted that!

"Pipe lines" and "drilling" - are you ready to turn off the heat in the winter?

Another straw man argument!

Are you ready to pedal your three wheeler to the store to shop?

And yet ANOTHER straw man argument!

If not, the complaint may by less than a half truth.

The oil from the pipe lines that President Obama opposed was never required by the US .... hence NOTHING to do with "heating", "pedaling  three wheelers" or "drilling" as you disingenuously inserted and implied I was evading.

All it did was render straw man arguments!

And the beat goes on....

Yup ...... Your "beat" of more half truths and usual straw man arguments "goes on"!

With regard to the taking away of weapons – – at 63 years old, I have  always lived with a family of gun owners. My father was a hunter, my first husband was a hunter as was my second husband. All their friends were hunters! Never ever have anyone ever come to take away guns.

This is just one of those fear mongering tactics that the right uses to manipulate the base into supporting candidates, who are funded by the NRA, and who  are too stupid to realize,  too ignorant to realize that they are being played.

I have heard President Obama speak about guns. I heard him very plainly say, “we are not coming to take away your guns.“

He said it a multiplicity of times, and  he said it to a multiplicity of people, and if anyone has a brain in his or her head, he or  she knows that no action was ever taken to take away the guns from anyone.

The question has always been semi automatic and automatic weapons, which have been used to bring about the carnage of hundreds,  if not thousands of innocents.

But the NRA and Republican Party keep up with their propaganda, the  easily manipulated and ignorant Republican base continue to buy into the lies, and more and more people will continue to die.

Gee, I miss having a real president!

Hey PanJ, a few years ago I was watching Fox to see what the latest propaganda for the week was. They were warning Fox viewers that President Obama had a plan to take away their guns. They're so stupid that they believed it. I would be LOL if it weren't so serious.

Anyway, the conversation continued and the guests were angrily complaining about the "freedoms' Obama took away from Americans. And much to my shock, the Fox host asked them to name one freedom the President took away. Of course there was stone cold silence.

I'd ask what the terrible things are that President Obama did, but I know it's stashed in the same lost file that lists all the freedoms he took from you and where he stashed all the guns he grabbed. But if you happen to find it, please fill us in, ok?  🙂  🙂  🙂

By ghe numbers.

1. Ask the people of FL about the 900,000 they use them to perform tasks others will not. The President uses them and has used them for years at his estate, and buildings. That must mean they are good.

2. The Reb. started them in some cases like telling lies which people believed as until Trump a

President was never to lie on purpose. Well that all changed with our mental case President Trump.

3. No we will not need pipelines for heat. We will drill off both FL. coasts there is all the oil we need there. Did I just hear Trump will not drill off FL coast. Why? Who paid him off. Answer. Far right Reb. who live there. Well why then do the far right Reb. want others to give them oil for their needs. Far right reb. in action. Take from others and never do their part.

@myexper— The right can’t tell the whole truth and/or must make up fantasies because if they didn’t do that, the facts about Obama‘s presidency and the reality that he was a magnificent president who did much to help the American people would blatantly out there for all those who disliked him because of his race and his humanity to see.

The hatefulness and deceit of these postsis amazing. One wonders about the intelligence and/or mental stability of people who believe the garbage posted by the right.

The idiot in chief  can undo laws that Obama put in place, which will then be reinstated once we get a real Democratic president in office, but the right can do nothing to diminish the humanity, intellect, stability, and insight of President Obama.

Gee,  I miss having a real president!
