And I am going to change water into wine!

Maybe but AOC has the studies to support her claim.

Regardless, I was looking at Trump's new NAFTA. The revised NAFTA, now called the United Stated Mexico Canada Agreement (USMCA), will not restore industrial jobs, worker rights and living wages; nor will it provide the needed protections for affordable health care and the environment.

So what DO we get?The U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) projects that the USMCA will bring small and skewed economic gains in the U.S., including: a one-time increase in GDP of only 0.35 percent; a one-time increase in total employment of a small fraction of one percent, mainly in low-paid service sector jobs; and a one-time wage increase of about a quarter of 1 percent on average. It is important to note that the USITC study finds any positive effects at all only because it attributes economic value to the reduction of “policy uncertainty” for investors as a result of increased protections for firms in a few sectors, including pharmaceuticals and information technology.

On top of everything that you've written, Trump always manages to blame others when his "deals" fall flat: The Fed, The Democrats, Congress, Other Nations . . . but never, never is he at fault. Negotiation is not "my way or the highway," that's not how it works. Even the guy who wrote Trump's book, "The Art of the Deal," says Trump is a con man who only knows how to sue instead of paying people who have done work for him, or file bankrupsy. People who continue to support him say, "Well, he's fighting for us." No, he's not. He's not fighting for you, he doesn't love you like you think. Trump only loves your adoration of Him.

Let's consider lil donny Bonespur's "deals".

1. Reject the multinational deal with Iran. RESULT: Not a single ally has joined us and Iran is going to get Nuclear Weapons and an ultra-conservative anti-American Government.

2. Mindless sanctions on China. RESULT: Thousands of bankrupt  American farmers, loss of huge export markets for all time, higher prices for all American consumers and China replacing America as the most trusted trading partner for the rest of the World.

3. Mindless sanctions against Venezula. RESULT: Collapsing economy and only "organized opposition" strong enough to take control seems to be the Drug Cartels.

Yeah, for an unthinking GOPerBot lil donny sounds good because Fox is all they listen to. For the thinking world, donny's a total disaster in everything he's done.

We are finally starting to see enough of the famous Trump Deals that we can map out the process he is following:

  1. Destroy the previous deal without giving any of the parties time to adjust or renegotiate.  This gets rid of the Obama era deal regardless of the impact. It puts the other parties (and the rest of the world) on notice that Trump will not keep America's word. Trump's base thinks it makes him look decisive. (Hold my beer and watch this)
  2. He fumbles through negotiations for a replacement deal. Changes negotiators either by choice or they quit in frustration. Tweets positions that have not been communicated to the negotiators so they are often caught unawares.
  3. When even his base starts to ask about why he has not reached a new deal, he signs pretty much anything in front of him.  This is a pattern documented from his business deals.
  4. Depends on the Democratic Congress to actually have the deal reviewed by trained staff (Trump has very few experienced analysts left). When they refuse to commit America to such a crappy deal, he happily blames them and forgets the entire thing.

Bad "deals" must be dispensed with ASAP!

Exactly why we will rid ourselves of the gutless draftdodging L'enfant terrible no later than 20 Jan 2021. Then we can begin to restore World confidence and respect for America from the swamp into which Cadet Bonespurs has flung it.

Two other big differences is that AOC's proposal will generate more money than it costs. if the PROPOSAL (I find I have to keep saying that in caps for the readers who don't actually read) is ever subjected to the legislative process, the amount of money generated for the economy will be studied and verified.

So, AOC has a PROPOSAL while Trump just appropriated the funds.  AOC will make money while Trump is exercising his Socialist State Funding ability to support companies (export farmers) for which there is no longer a market.

The true system of capitalism would wipe them out in a season and make way for new entrepreneurs but Trump believes in State Sponsored industries. As long as they are his supporters of course.  This is why the American version of Capitalism is not working.

That remains to be seen but right now it is a proposal and you are comparing it to the very real Socialist state funding package of $13 billion Trump gave the farmers.

I remember when the Regressives used to complain about the cost of Obama taking a trip once a year to spend Christmas with his family.  Trump spends that each month on his weekly vacations and then they don't protest this $13 billion.

Remember, Trump has destroyed these markets permanently.  The Chinese are now buying their hogs and beans from Brazil.  They are also buying the farms which produce it.  The point is that Trump is using Socialist style government support to prop up an industry which should be allowed to sort itself out.  THIS is American capitalism.

You have your definition for regressive wrong.  Progressives (thats what they call themselves) are very regressive.  The new green deal will cost our economy $30 trillion dollars and bankruptcy is the the result.  Talk about regressive after you explain how the green new deal, $1000 guaranteed income per month, free college will be paid for.  The top 1% don't have enough money to fund the Democrat's free handouts!

So far, the financial analysis of the NGD benefits  support AOC's numbers. At this point, it is all hypothetical, of course as it has not been approved or implemented. Trump's deals have cost the economy billions and that does not include the $30 billion he has spent on Socialist bailouts of bean and hog farmers.

In short, you are comparing Trump's very real disasters with a proposal.

A proposal that is crazy like AOC!
