New Yorker cover titled 'The Shining' shows Graham, McConnell, Barr polishing Trump's shoes

The upcoming cover of The New Yorker magazine shows President Trumpsitting upright in a chair as Attorney General William Barr, along with Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), polish his shoes.

The magazine in a post on Twitter Thursday revealed the cover for next week’s issue.

The cover, titled “The Shining” and drawn by Barry Blitt, does not show Trump’s face, as he has his head raised, but shows each of the three men looking unhappy to be doing the task.

Both McConnell and Graham have been prominent supporters and defenders of Trump throughout Trump’s time in office.

Barr was confirmed by the Senate earlier this year.

Barr has faced criticism for how he handled special counsel Robert Mueller’s report on Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

Democrats alleged the four-page memo he release outlining the principal conclusions from Mueller’s more than 400-page report was insufficient and “misrepresented” the full report.

Barr opted against showing up to testify in front of the House Judiciary Committee earlier this month, prompting the committee to vote to hold him in contempt.

The New Yorker has used previous covers to take shots at Trump, recently showing him “walled in” during a prolonged government shutdown.

Another cover from March of last year, also drawn by Blitt, shows Trump nude behind a lectern while taking questions from the media.
