Trump tried to gain the upper hand against two of the most astute politicians he will ever encounter. They took his pants down and spanked him on TV for all to see.

Trump is a giant liability (a ball and chain) for the Republican Party. trump never should have had the negotiations televised, everyone saw clearly what happened, oh .......... except trump supporters, they see things through a warped set of lenses.

The Republican's Pelosi Problem

Message 13 of 13

Trump took advance credit for shutting down the government in front of the news cameras.  Pelosi and Schumer were not told the negotiations would be televised so it must have been Trump's attempt to make them look bad. THEN, Trump is goaded into declaring that any shutdown was on him!  Now, Republicans are looking at ending their two years in power with a gigantic increase in the deficit, a tanking stock market, and now they will leave while the government is shut down.  So, the first thing the incoming Democratic congress will get to do is save the day.

The problem?  If the Republicans say Trump's comments were caused by Pelosi, it is apparent she bested him in negotiations. If they say there were NOT caused by Pelosi, it is because Trump is a moron.

And you guys think us Democrats want this guy out of office?  No way.  He is gold..............gold I tell you.
