"Claimed"?? It's there. It was always there. I can navigate the website instead of stomping my feet on the ground in a fit. The "the GOP sucks" is mine (my mistake, I thought I had said republicans instead), which I already said I posted in response to "the left sucks". Smiley Happy

Cemtrist.

Although I already knew that you would be out there attacking and  simply trying to  diminish my posts whether they are right or wrong. I actually weldome your posts and the authoring of many of the subjects that you select.

But I rather see posters like yourserlf and many many other authoring  threads that simply have to deal with one voice..and one personal opinion.

Unfortunately speaking I will have to agree with RK  on this one.  one voice tellling us what is happening does not make it as free speech. Why yes, it does.  That "one voice" is exercising their right to "free speech".  Your response is YOU exercising your right to free speech.  Why is this confusing?

We need the diversity of opinions by more than one author in order to have the real disucssions that this message board needs. And that's what YOU are doing responding.  It is worth noting ythose whining are those who post very very topics themselves.....who cares who posts various topics?  Everyone still has an opportunity to voice their view.....don't they?

It shouldn't matter who posts, what matters is the diversity of ways of exposing an issue.  And if you don't like the way a topic is posted, you are always able to post the same topic and frame it anyway you'd like.

And as a Republican that is not a Trump Follower, I will not accept more leftists and not centrists in the Democratic Party. Who cares who you accept in the Democratic party....certainly not the Democrats.

The left is in my view  is as corrosive as the ritght....of course a VERY biased view.....care to elaborate?

When I first joined this Forum - I was a different person - My posts were mostly sarcastic uninformed attempts to be Clever - Controversial

But I quickly learned there were some Serious Well Read Adults on the Forum who could quickly expose my posts for what they were - nonsense

So then I started to read more carefully & try to learn what the subject was about & if it interested me I would do some research - source the location of the support for my comments etc.

Then what started happening was I was criticized for long wordy uninteresting novels that no one would read - a few even today criticize me for posting too many words

So again I started reading the other posts to see what was different from mine & I noticed the posts that got the most attention were the ones that included one-liners - pictures - cartoons - etc

So I adjusted once more - if there was a Topic that I was seriously interested in - I posted several one paragraph posts albeit possbly similar and/or closely related

That seemed to have satisified most of the Critics for awhile - but now the Gripes have started up again

Too many posts - too many posts that are Negative about Trump etc.

So now I'm faced with another Dilemma

My instinct is to go back to fact-based posts but to fully flush out a subject requires lengthy back & forth discussion

You cannot examine the Meaning of Life with One-liners

You Also cannot honestly examine Trump with one post a day

Trump posts dozens of Tweets and is Quoted Directly on multiple subject multiple times every day 365 days a year

Because Trumps Comments are a combination of Truth - Half-truths & Blatant Lies - it's impossible to adequately cover & discuss Trump without commenting on all the Different Stuff that comes out of his mouth and the Weirdo things he does

So - @retiredtraveler just initiated a conversation on Education & I responded the way I would if I were emailing a acquaintance friend family member etc

I have every confidence this thread will just die - people on this forum do not want discussion - enlightenment - a different persepctive - all they want is to try & prove they are Right - TO WIN AT ALL COSTS & everyone else who won't support Trump or disagrees is wrong

I'm probably guilty of that at times as well

So as Trump is so fond of saying - We'll See!

You go, Mick; you go!!!

I too would agree the quality of your posts have increased significantly.  Your topics are often very the well researched and sourced....what more could another poster want on a forum?  Of course some are opinionated....but so what?  Opinions based on sourced facts sure beats the ignorance of some posters here who post from extremist sources or tweets from idiots or uninformed sources.

Please, keep up the good work trying to inform and educate the ignorant.  You'll note those whining in your ear are those who rarely, if ever, post intelligent topics themselves.

One voice? Did it ever occur to you that the D's on this board are in agreement when it comes to Trump and the R-party? They all have the right (freedom of speech) to say the exactly the same thing if they share the same opinions, do they not?

We need the diversity of opinions by more than one author in order to have the real disucssions that this message board needs.

Anyone can post a topic of their choosing, or as many topics as they choose. You did mention that freedom of speech thing. Have you considered that maybe there aren't as many "diverse" opinions who care to get involved in these posts?

It shouldn't matter who posts, what matters is the diversity of ways of exposing an issue.

Yes, it's nice to see all sides of an issue, but that is up to the people who choose to participate in the discussion.

And as a Republican that is not a Trump Follower, I will not accept more leftists and not centrists in the Democratic Party.

As a Republican, it is not up to you or any other R's, to decide the direction of the D-party. If you want to have a voice in the D-party, then change parties and vote accordingly.

Shucks man, you forgot your "neoMarxist" comment.

It doesn't apply.

Mickstuder did not say " "I disagree with your opinions so you are a fascist - end of discussion", so why do you accuse him of that?  He also didn't say "Republicans suck", so why bring that up?  How does your reply promote or qualify being categorized as "adult discussion"?

When did I say he did???

The GOP sucks and Trump sucks was there, not the one you claimed to see. And it is mentioned in accurate response to false claims about which side sinks the lowest.

You keep doing what you do, Mick, however you see fit. I occasionally catch the same grief you are over my use of tags. I saw one of the right wing posters insert the tag "the left sucks." No one, not anyone from the left and certainly not anyone from the right, objected. I hadn't really used tags until I saw that. So, I similarly inserted the tag "republicans suck" and ohhhhh lawdy! You'd think I was pinching babies to make them cry, and you can probably guess who was doing all the crying. Such hypocrisy.

The one constant I've observed on these forums is that the right wingers always feel entitled to tell everyone else what to post, and what verbiage to use when posting it. That, alone, is reason enough to keep on keeping on.
