Facts, compassion and reality don’t matter to trump and supporters, do they?

What does seem to matter is how much more they can mistreat people, and how much more suffering that they can inflict on people. Are these actions by real Americans?  They may want to keep an eye out for the next incoming wave!

Are you talking about the "cages" that were used by the Obama administration in 2014 and then the pictures used to criticize President Trump with?

WASHINGTON (AP) — Since the government acknowledged last month that the Trump administration had lost track of nearly 1,500 immigrant children, the debate over what that means and who is to blame has roiled Twitter. A look at the partisan claims and a reality check behind the latest immigration fight:

THE 2014 PHOTOS

—“Speechless. This is not who we are as a nation.” — Democrat Antonio Villaraigosa, former Los Angeles mayor now running for governor, referring in a tweet Sunday to photos showing young-looking immigrants in steel cages.

THE FACTS: The photos, taken by The Associated Press, were from 2014, during the Obama administration, but were presented by liberal activists as if they showed the effects of Trump’s immigration policy now. Villaraigosa, Favreau and some others deleted their tweets when the mistake was pointed out.

Why do you continue to "Make stuff up" and post it as fact with NO supporting links to back up your outlandish claims?

The stuff is not made up. I live in a border state. Just to night our local news had a story of the conditions at the order. They use those cages for both adults and children. They are for 15, but now they have 30 in them. They are releasing the asylum seekers fast now. The shelters in El Paso, and our State are full. Our largest city 200 miles north of the border got 300 dropped off last weekend, and this weekend expect between 700, and 1,000. The Fed. govt, just drops them off and they are then on their own to get to where they are going in the US. Local Churches have stepped in. They put them up in hotels last weekend, and will do the same this weekend. Local Hospitals have put in plans so they can get medical help if needed. A lot of it will be from medical people who are doing it free. Our State has Medical Vans fully staffed now along our section of the border. The far right thinks all the people arriving are being sent back well now they are not. Most are going to places all over the US and this is the starting point. They all have hearing dates  for their request. The courts are making Dictator Trump act like a normal President. There is a wall in place in most of the areas they are entering the US so his Border Wall  does nothing. It is a farce that only the enablers would think it would help.

Pretty sure @Olderscout66 was talking about the cages in the picture posted above, which was actually taken on Sunday, June 17, 2018.

There are many different points of view regarding this issue. Perhas you are correct saying that we are at a low point regarding illegals. but, are we counting all illegals or just the southern border illegals.

Are we doing anything at all to see that no illegals stay in this country even if in the beginning they come with a tourist, educational visa or thru other borders that are not the southern border?

Regarding the southern border. well, I don't doubt that many do need asylum, but many of them remind me of people living in the Chicago area.

We have seen the amount of gang violence, the shootings in the streets, the deaths that occur in that city. I keep wondering when any of them will present themselves at the Canadian border and request asylum.  and why not.?

We also need to really be very careful. in how we are complying legallu with any of these issues and   have the tools to really deal with what we know needs to be fixed.

Richva:  so, what is the tidal wave?

It's the people who not only drink Trump's koolaid, they mainline it. Trump tried using the caravan to scare people during the midterms and got little traction outside his base. Nothing has changed.

So, the facts are that illegal immigration is at its lowest point in 15 years. That most immigrants present themselves to the CBP officers at border checkpoints or travel along the border until they can find a CBP officer.  That crime involving immigrants is much lower than crime involving citizens...............so, what is the tidal wave?

What ins this world happened to the cartoons that would serve as an argument instead of arguing with cartoons?

Let me bring up something that I heard yesterday.   which is the lack of understanding or not wanting to understand Climate change.

You seem to only see a tidal wave of illegals crossing the southern Border. well you ain't seen nothing yet , as to tidal wave that this country is going to see when Climate change really becomes an issue in other countries like, having parts of their county inhabitable, or not being able to plant food where they did before and running to countries that they  feel they can live and inhabit.

All of you that only think that "the tidal wave" only comes from the southern border have a myopic view on what is going to happen in this country sooner that you all expect. but please . people, do answer with appropriate cartoons, and not with arguments. is a waste or time and words.

@scout...................I am looking at the backs of these people you are calling kids. They look like they are larger than me. If these kids are this big, they are going to be HUGE when they are grown. Question for you? Why do you feel so protective for these children as you call them, but then think it OK to murder babies? I call it warped thinking.
