Re: The GOP are starting to "eat their own"

I can't help but wonder if those in the Republican party are actually too afraid to stand up to all this fear mongering because they know that one can easily become a target to the exact things the President stated about having all those cops, military and bad biker dudes who could do very bad things.  For some it is probably easier to just stay in line as a "yes" man/woman than to stand up against this horror we see coming out?!  For some, they will never speak up about it until the "tragedy" hits them personally?!  They see with their own eyes how our "normal check and balance system" called the US Senate is totally in line with this mindset.

And that the solution is for academics to attempt to sell a lie about whiteness that the GOP endorse on a daily basis.

That story caught my attention, because when the GOP were busy trying to hide their racism, they developed a dog whistle that they believed that only certain people would be able to comprehend the meaning.     One of the first people to define that in the US was Wm Safire and he worked in the Nixon Whitehouse.

So either the RW has become detached from reality and the older group is hoping that no one remembers or knows any history of their own ilk that they are throwing under the bus.

Yep @afisher  - absolutely correct and dead on the ten ring of the target!
