A Red Wave is Coming

Do you know how corrupt our nation has become?

Do you know that some of the higher-ups in the Department of Justice and the FBI are as corrupt as Mafia dons ever were?

Do you know that Barack Obama weaponized the DOJ, the FBI, the CIA, the IRS, and other government agencies and used them to pummel his political opponents particularly conservative Christians?

Do you know that media titans in our country have abandoned professionalism completely and have become no better than gossip tabloids?

They’ve done it openly and unapologetically.

Do you know that virtually every person you see on television or in the movies promoting his or her world view is a Democrat and that they are doing everything in their power to topple President Trump’s administration?

Do you know that celebrities across the nation are doing the same sort of thing every day?

What did President Trump do to invite their wrath?

It’s simple.  He defeated Hillary Clinton.  Celebrities wanted her to be president, and President Trump prevented it from happening.  That’s the truth in a nutshell.

Do you know how corrupt and immoral the entertainment industry is?

We talk about how bad it is that Christians are being attacked in China and Pakistan and Nigeria, for example, but did you know that Christians are being attacked in the United States every day?  They are being mocked and ridiculed on television and in the news.  Faithful people are being marginalized in this so-called “Christian nation” and portrayed as lunatics by some of the most corrupt and immoral people ever to have lived.

The United States used to be a Christian nation, but it’s not anymore.  Anyone who says that it is must not be paying attention.

Do you know that the Democrat Party has become the Party of Perversity?  More than anything else, it stands for the premeditated, cold-blooded murder of innocent unborn children.  Anything else that the Democrat Party stands for, corrupt and immoral as it may be, pales by comparison.

Do you know why Democrat senators who questioned Judge Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearings were so fanatical?   Do you know why they continue to lie about him?  They want to prevent his confirmation, because they fear that an honest justice will tip the balance in the Supreme Court toward justice for all including unborn children.

Do you know that establishment politicians, Democrats and Republicans, hate President Trump because he is not one of them?  He’s not a member of their club.  President Trump actually worked for a living, and he gave up a fortune to work for America for free.

That’s not how the game has been played.  Many people in the House and Senate ran for office to get rich at the expense of taxpayers.

Do you know that “draining the swamp” threatens all establishment politicians, Democrats and Republicans?  President Trump’s success means their failure.  The president is doing things that establishment politicians said couldn’t be done, and he’s doing those things with very little support from the political elite—i.e., the people who created our problems.  Despite their best efforts to stop him, President Trump has accomplished amazing things in short order.

How can that be?

How did this man get elected? Why do you still support him? How can you condone his rude tweets and personal attacks? How can you call yourself a Christian and support this lying, immoral man? These are just some of the questions Trump supporters are asked as the left does everything it can to resist, derail, and impeach President Trump.

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee brings some perspective, “Even if the best surgeon has a bad bedside manner, you still want him doing your surgery!” Trump is irreverent. He exaggerates and takes all the credit for everything that goes well. Some of his tweets are obnoxious and aggressive. But the man gets things done!

Many voters and even more political pundits were surprised when voters elected him. His supporters were tired of politicians who talked a good talk but didn’t deliver on the things that matter most.

Trump promised things we wanted. Concerned about court justices who legislated from the bench, voters wanted a constitutional originalist appointed to the Supreme Court, and we’re on the verge of getting our second judge during his first term! The left is throwing everything they can at Judge Kavanaugh in hopes that something will stick, but he’s weathered every attack and shown the temperament and wisdom that a justice should have.

For many, the Supreme Court appointments alone will justify Trump’s election. Our Constitution was designed to protect citizens from the intrusive control of our government, and President Trump has nominated federal judges at all levels committed to do just that. With the help of a Republican-controlled Senate, he’ll keep delivering the judges we need.

Texas Seat Held By Democrats For Seven Generations Flips To Underdog Republican

I’m told that we’re supposed to be super concerned about the special elections held this summer. Allegedly, they are some sort of proxy of intensity and intensity, we are told, is the big Democrat advantage. A friend of mine is spending a lot of his work hours looking at election results, cutting off the heads of roosters and sprinkling their blood about, and disemboweling goats to read their entrails and he’s convinced that…well, who cares.

Yesterday, a special election was held in Texas state senate district 19. District 19 has been held, uninterrupted, by a Democrat for 139 years.

The race was brought on by the thirty (almost) year incumbent, Carlos Uresti, being convicted of eleven felonies. The matchup was interesting. On the Democrat side was former three-term US Representative Peter Gallego who, after his defeat by Will Hurd, moved down the socio-economic scale in order to stay in politics. His GOP opponent was retired game warden Pete Flores.

A retired game warden, Flores defeated former state and U.S. Rep. Pete Gallego for the Senate District 19 seat after receiving backing from some of the state’s most prominent politicians, including Gov. Greg Abbott, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, and U.S. Sens John Cornyn and Ted Cruz.

“We conservatives are conservative in the way we make approaches. The gunfight’s not over until the last shot’s fired,” Flores told the Express-News after Gallego conceded in a phone call just before 9 p.m. “The last shot’s been fired.”

According the Secretary of State’s website, Flores won with 53 percent of the vote to Gallego’s 47 percent with 44,487 ballots cast.

And the race has an impact:

“It will provide a completely unexpected gift for Republicans for the next legislative session,” said Mark Jones, a professor of political science at Rice University.

Jones said Flores’ victory all but assured a Republican supermajority next year, which would allow Senate Republicans to bring bills to the floor without any Democratic support.

Is this some kind of sea change? I doubt it. In fact, the GOP upset here looks a lot like Democrat upsets. You have an incumbent who is being replaced, sometimes for misconduct. You have a lazy party organization that is used to winning. You have voters who are not paying attention and are used to a certain party winning all the time. And you have a hungry opposition.

I, fortunately, don’t make a living by making political predictions but I think that polls that show Beto Rodriguez, I mean, O’Rourke within 5 of Ted Cruz are delusional. I have deep doubts that, given the overall economic climate, that a wave election is going to happen. I really don’t believe that low turnout special elections tell you much more than who won that particular election.

Having said that, a GOP supermajority the Texas Senate will be a welcome change and guaranteed to make more than a few heads explode. And that is always fun to watch.
