Interesting that Mickstuder posts these stats about CONGRESS and the topic turns to trump, with the usual repeated empty rhetoric trying to somehow defend the idiot's actions.

Great topic though .............. by the statistics listed it is easy to see and sad (pathetic) that Congress as a whole simply does not reflect and is not representative of the society in which we live. This was in place long before trump came along. If the electorate would show up at the polls and vote into office people likened to our society as a whole, we would have a Congress that would represent the will of the people, a white supremacist intellectual moron like trump would never have gotten into office. Without a Congress that reflects society as a whole, the rich minority (1%) will continue to be catered to at the expense of the rest of our society.

Any change in the past two years??

Of course there has been "change" in the past two years. The short version:  Trump and a Republican majority House and Senate have given another 'YUGE' tax break to the richest in our country (a minority), including the  'YUGE' corporate tax cut which benefits the wealthiest more than anyone else. Trump has brought a bigger more powerful voice  for the white supremacist groups into Washington and the White House, and surrounded himself with the wealthiest (many of them criminals). Our allies have been alienated and two of our enemies have been praised and one of them who tampered in our elections has a direct line to the White House and our president, Nothing Putin does is met with criticism from trump. Weakening women's rights, the rights of most minorities, and catering to the minority fundamentalists. Building mistrust  among the public in our news networks and the press, along with mistrust in most government agencies, including the FBI, other intelligence agencies, the DOJ and our court systems.  Wonderful changes if you are a trump cult member, not so good for the vast majority of Americans.

What is this "white" thing that bothers you? The President does not deal in race, he deals in people. As a result, the economic conditions for blacks have improved amazingly right along with whites (and all people).

Is that a "bad thing"?

The only bad thing about it is that it's a lie.

More blacks are working, less are unemployed - what is the lie.

That's not what you said. You said "economic conditions for blacks have improved amazingly" (they have not) and that these amazing economic conditions are a result of Trump not being a racist (he is).

What is the lie? The whole thing.

Well, were I unable to find a job and then I was, I believe I'd think things had improved. Where is the racism in more jobs and less unemployment?

Not sure why the RW confusion, thinking people "hate" Trump the way neoRepublicans hate blacks, women, Muslims and the poor - that is, without reason, just to respond to some primal urge to "defend the tribe" whenever they feel threatened.

Progressives OPPOSE Der Trumper because his speech is vulgar and filled with hate, promising to do great harm to others but delivering nothing but redistribution of wealth from the middle to the very top.

I guess it is because neoRepublicans have never done anything to improve life for their base, and instead just stoked the lie that the base was slidding backwards economically because Venesulaians made their kids dopers, Mexicans took the good jobs, women and blacks got all the promotions and the rich really are the beloved of God and deserve to have gotten all the increases in income and wealth over the last 40 years.

Trump has 85% of Republicans who are 26% of the population - they can be beaten.

VOTE OUT THE NRAGOP IN NOVEMBER

Then do it again in 2020 and end the Gerrymander by changing State law so no political information can be used to draw Congreessional districts, only population.

Fanatics will follow their leader into the grave, so no use talking to them.

For those still capable of rational thought, the inescapable conclusion to observing Der Trumpers words and deeds is that he is a psychopathic emotional and intellectiual 6 year-old who has the Nuclear launch codes, AND a Congress that will be okay with whatever he decides to do.

Can't cure his psychopathology, force him to mature or keep him away from the launch codes.

CAN remove the Congress that cheers him on.

VOTE OUT THE NRAGOP IN NOVEMBER.

It is true - fanaticism will destroy an individual's ability to think rationally. A perfect example is the blind hatred for our President. It started with a preference for the other candidate, it grew with the rhetoric of the "Resistance", became vicious thanks to the guidance of some TV personalities posing as newspeople, and finally posters feel good about themselves when others approve of their anger so a tight little circle of fellow haters forms using terms like "cult, idol, hero, love, adore, ignobelers, etc." - all directed at those considered "non-believers". Sadly, it is a phenomenon that feeds on itself and once past a certain point, the individual loses control.

That is the problem with having seriously negative opinions about people rather than ideological differences.
