Not to faux-Christians, which MANY of the religious right are comprised.

Rich posted the truth when he wrote:

Trump was upset because news sources were pointing out he had retreated to the safety of the  WH bunker and refused to address the nation in the middle of the turmoil.  He wanted to be photographed outside the gates of the WH compound so he had the troops clear out peaceful protesters using rubber bullets and tear gas so he could leisurely stroll over to look at a torched church.  The Bishop was shocked to find his church a backdrop for a Trump photo-op. ITYS.

What?  He had to go to the bunker?  And here he thought he was going to avoid serving with his false claim of "bone-spurs".  What a pathetic puke, POTUS is.

The picture came off looking exactly like what it was -- a staged photo op and not a very good one at that.  He did not look at all comfortable standing there.  Hope he didn't poop his Depends.

It's not like he walked out to connect and talk to the protesters.  No, they had to be cleared forcibly out of the area, peaceful or not, so he could do his little look-how-fearless-I-am jaunt which makes this stunt even more ridiculous.

The United States of America has truly descended into being a dicktatorship.

Tear gas, rubber bullets, threatening martial law, and on and on.

Congress needs to act now and remove this crazy man from the Presidency.

He is an embarrassment to the country regardless of party affiliation. Republicans, I feel most sorry for you. He will be a blemish on your party for years to come.

'I am outraged': Bishop overseeing church responds to Trump photo-op

The president’s church visit was criticized by Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington, who said she was “outraged” that Mr. Trump went to the church “after he threatened to basically rain down military force.”

“The president used a Bible, the most sacred text of the Judeo-Christian tradition, and one of the churches of my diocese, without even asking us, as a backdrop for“ a message antithetical to the teachings of Jesus and everything that our church stands for,” she said.

It is appalling,” she said. “The Bible is not an instrument of white supremacy or American nationalism. It is a universal text for all human beings.”

“The president did not come to pray at St. Johns. He did not come to acknowledge the agony that our country is experiencing right now. He never mentioned the sacred worth of people of color in our nation who rightfully demand an end to hundreds of years of systemic racism and white supremacy.”

Terrible optics! The picture of Trump holding a Bible in front of that church will be on billboards and posters paid for by the DNC.

The religious right has forgiven Trump for adultery, profanity, misogyny, racism, and never setting foot in a church. But this is too far.

Mayor Muriel Bowser of Washington said the federal police officers’ clearing of peaceful protesters was “shameful” and had made the job of city police officers harder. Libby Garvey, the chair of the Arlington County Board in Virginia, said the county had ordered its police force — which had been helping to patrol the protests in Washington — to return, saying their mutual aid agreement had been “abused.”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
Eva Braun
Eva Braun Hitler was the longtime companion of Adolf Hitler and, for less than 40 hours, his wife.
Braun met Hitler in Munich when she was a 17-year-old assistant and model for his personal photographer Heinrich Hoffmann.
As Nazi Germany was collapsing towards the end of the war, Braun swore loyalty to Hitler and went to Berlin to be by his side.
As the Russian troops fought their way into Berlin, she married Hitler during a brief civil ceremony; she was 33 and he was 56.
Less than 40 hours later, they committed suicide together in a sitting room of the bunker, she by biting into a capsule of cyanide, and he by a gunshot to the head.
The German public was unaware of Braun's relationship with Hitler until after their deaths.
Wow!  I work with Metro Police on occasion.   They are so incredibly professional when it comes to crowd control.  They are extraordinarily well trained because they have demonstrations in the District all the time.   I'm not a police expert, but I couldn't believe that they did something like this.
And they didn't.   It was National Guard police and US Park Police..  This is just unbelievable.
