This is an economic issue not women's rights or women's health. What has changed? Women can still get BC pills if they choose to.... right? It's who has to pay for it.

I know my church does not pay for BC, but if prescribed for health reasons, they will.

Birth control is a health issue.

Just curious, do they cover viagra or other erectile dysfunction drugs?  That's not really a health issue, is it?  Nobody died from not being able to get it up.  People have died from being pregnant.

"....If there are really 62 million women out there who can't afford the "pill", I'd say we need to improve the economy. Go for it President Trump....".

Let's back up this nonsense. I'm certainly not an expert in this, burt let's get the numbers right.

There are approximately 62 million women of child-bearing age (15-44) in the entire U.S. According to the studies I've read, the vast majority use some type of contraception and have access to cheap, or free, contraception through such organizations as Planned Parenthood or neighborhood clinics.

Is is estimated that about 10% of women who are at risk do not use contraceptives.

John.... the the "experts" also say... 99.9% won't be affected. If it's that important for people to avoid having children, the costs are not prohibitive.

It's settled by the supreme court. The ACLU should save the money and donate BC pills. to Planned Parenthood

I'm not against birth control.

The amount of money spent will be the same if the BC products are still used at the same rate... what changes is who pays for it.

You are correct it does change who pays for it but it also changes how they are used. There will be some people who will stop using BC products for a number of reasons like not being able to afford them. They will then get pregnant and not get the proper  care from a Dr.. That will lead to more and higher medical expenses for them and their children. You have already seen some numbers come out showing the side effects of decreasing the use of the pill which this will do. We have seen the numbers of how use of the pill has decreased a few other medical problems and the group most likely to stop using the pill has a large presence in that group. The total cost of health care will go up and we will all pay for that in taxes and higher insurance. So you are wrong on the amount of money spent. It will not stay the same. You do not understand this area so listen to the experts they do.

So stupid.   And linking it to religious objections of employees is even more stupid.    That can have all kinds of unintended consequences.   But probably men don't care, because religious mandates generally affect women, much more so than men.

If there are really 62 million women out there who can't afford the "pill", I'd say we need to improve the economy. Go for it President Trump.

If those 62 million women's sex partners cannot afford half a buck for a condom, they should be out working, not hopping in the sack.

The roll back is in line with recent rulings by the Supreme court. "these rules will not affect over 99.9% of the 165 million women in the United States." Senior Health and Human Services (HHS) officials said.

What I'm not sure about is the definition of moral convictions ... but the states are supposed to address that. Not much is gonna change for most people.

You do realize that the total amount of money spent on health care in the US will go up as a result of this. That means the additional cost will be paid by all of us in higher Insurance Premiums, Taxes (Fed. State, Local).
