Trying to comprehend how anyone with enough brain power to breathe could support lil donny Bonespurs is impossible. When it is safely in jail Jan 2021, somebody should do a study to determine what caused the mass hysteria that propelled a Toad into the White House so we can make certain it NEVER repeats.

IMHO, tRump's rise was made possible by generations of Republicans

redistributing all the income and wealth gains from the Middle to the top 10%. Us Boomers were the last generation to grow up to a more affluent lifestyle than our parents, there was all kinds of strife, but it was not sufficient to drive anyone to slaughter a school filled with 5 year-olds or an office filled with their coworkers. The NRA supported hunting and target shooting, 96% of the profit increases from higher worker productivity went to the workers and every year the gap between rich and poor SHRANK.

This created a society with two major differences from the one we got with the Reagan Taxscam:

1. For the general population: There were no extra fees for public school activities, all it "cost" to play sports was your mother had to wash your uniform before a game and many public schools provided budding musicians with their instruments. Every city of any size had a cadre of highschool students running free youth programs in the city parks, and Little League sponsors provided the uniforms because the City provided the Umpires and grounds keepers. Banks would lend you money at 6-7% and pay 4% on individual savings accounts. College could be paid for with a summer job working minimum wage. Just about every family took an annual vacation and many were able to own a "fishing cabin" on local lakes and rivers. Until 1973, there was a military draft and virtually every male wound up serving where they met good people from just about everywhere and service to Nation was not just accepted but held in high esteem.

2. For the Nation, America was great because we did great things TOGETHER. During the Great Depression, we built the World's biggest hydro-electric dams and tamed the Mississippi, Missouri, Illinois and Ohio rivers with a system of lock and dams providing year-round navigation for barges and flood control protecting tens of millions of acres of farm land and millions of people's homes. We brought electric power to the Nation's farms with the TVA and REA and a highly regulated monopoly called AT&T added phone service. We had rail service to just about every city and town and the passengers rode "the flyer" at speeds over 120mph in total safety because the tracks were maintained to much higher standards than we have today, and a trip on a train was so available and affordable the Cub Scouts had an award (arrow point) for riding a train. We built the InterState Highway System, consolidated schools to give the greatest possible access to the most modern teaching facilities and parents supported teachers when their kids misbehaved in school. Our education and health care were at the "top of the World" and our scientific achievements dominated the Nobel Award ceremonies every year.

We gave ALL that up for the Reagan taxscam which has given all the real income growth to the top 10% since 1982 and made the gap between rich and poor wider than it was in the Gilded Age of the Robber Barons.

Not a lot of trumpettes knew how good the middle class had it before Reagan, but they do know they're not goning as far as their father got, and that really hacks them off. GOPers have make them think the problem is women and minorities who took all the good jobs - we need to re=educate them to the REAL cause of their declining lifestyles.

Trump declares himself ‘the chosen one’

The front page features Vice President Mike Pence, Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson and Education Secretary Betsy DeVos.

First lady Melania Trump and two of Trump’s closest White House advisers ― his daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner ― also appear.

Yep - trump is nuttier than a fruitcake... so are his followers and supporters...

Another approach would be - since tRump obviously committed treason at Helsinki - doesn't it follow that his supporters are borderline treasonous as well?

AN EXCERPT FROM AN ARTICLE IN THE DAILY BEAST: An exaggeration? Sadly, no.

In business, Trump could paper over his bankruptcies, flops, asinine remarks, and failed cons. The presidency is different.

Rick Wilson8.22.19 4:44 AM ET

At this moment, on another Earth, a man is locked in a padded cell, nodding to the gibbering chorus of voices in his head and smearing out his manifesto on the grimy walls of the asylum using a jagged fingernail and his bodily fluids.

This chorus tells him things, you see. They warn him of the many hands posed to strike him, and demand revenge for every slight. They praise him, stroke his ego, and feed his rage.

On this Earth, the asylum is the bedlam of 1600 Pennsylvania, the inmate is the president of the United States, and instead of managing this dangerous patient, the staff sings his praises and encourages his worst behaviors.

The recognition that Donald J. Trump—president of the United States, commander in chief of the U.S. armed forces, leader of the Republican Party, and now King of Israel and Chosen One—is, to use the psychiatric term of art, bat**bleep** crazy is dawning even on the slowest members of society. Also, that there’s not a **bleep** thing we can do about it until November 2020.
