@umbarch64

Always liked the Kingston Trio, and I do not specifically remember this song, but it’s very intuitive and crosses time. The song of theirs, I think, that I really remember was the song about the “Thrusher” a nuclear sub that had sunk. Thinking back, even that was an unusual subject to sing about, and very melancholy.

And @angeleyes64 was that by Tears for Fears? If so, great song, also used in one of my favorite movies that most people have never heard of “Real Genius”.

Another stroll down memory lane!

Time itself does not change anything, except aging! Otherwise it’s up to us to make the changes.

What a true and very sad thing to read.

I remember a song one time " Everyone Wants to Rule the World."

Everyone wants to get into everyone's business, we can't seem to be able to just Police our own Countries and depend on others without all this fighting.

Sadly, that's true.  You'd think we'd evolve a little in 60 years....

'The Merry Minuet'  Kingston Trio.

"They're rioting in Africa, they're starving in Spain.

There's hurricanes in Florida, and Texas need rain.

The whole world is festering with unhappy souls.

The French hate the Germans, the Germans hate the Poles.

Italians hate Yugoslavs, South Africans hate the Dutch.

And I don't like anybody very much!

But we can be tranquil, and thankful, and proud,

For man's been endowed with a mushroom shaped cloud.

And we know for certain that some lovely day

Someone will set the spark off, and we will all be blown away.

They're rioting in Africa, there's strife in Iran.

What nature doesn't do to us, will be done by our fellow man.
