If we were discussing any other person we know or know of, we would shake our heads, say that's just donny being donny, and move on to another subject, and away from donny.

Trump’s list: 289 accomplishments in just 20 months, ‘relentless’ promise-keeping
by Paul Bedard
| October 12, 2018 08:43 AM

Part of the link....

The Trump administration’s often overlooked list of achievements has surpassed those of former President Ronald Reagan at this time and more than doubled since the last tally of accomplishments after his first year in office, giving President Trump a solid platform to run for re-election on.

As Trump nears the two-year mark of his historic election and conducts political rallies around the country, during which he talks up his wins in hopes it will energize Republican voters, the administration has counted up 289 accomplishments in 18 categories, capped by the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.

They include 173 major wins, such as adding more than 4 million jobs, and another 116 smaller victories, some with outsize importance, such as the 83 percent one-year increase in arrests of MS-13 gang members

“Trump’s successes in reducing the cost of taxes and regulations, rebuilding our military, avoiding wars of choice and changing the courts rival those of all previous Republican presidents,” said Grover Norquist, president of Americans for Tax Reform.

“Trump has an advantage over Ronald Reagan: He has a Reagan Republican House and Senate while Reagan had a [Democratic Speaker] Tip O’Neill House and a pre-Reagan Republican Senate. Reagan and [former GOP Speaker] Newt Gingrich were the ice breakers that allowed Trump’s victories to grow in number and significance,” he added.

Unlike the Year One list which included many proposals and orders still to be acted on, the new collection includes dozens of actions already in place, signed legislation, and enforced executive orders.

For example, while the Year One list bragged about the administration’s efforts to rewrite the much-maligned NAFTA trade deal with Canada and Mexico, the Year Two list said: “Negotiated an historic U.S.-Mexico-Canada Trade Agreement to replace NAFTA.”

In December, Secrets reported on the first list of White House accomplishments.

And shockingly the NAFTA achievement is presented as a sidebar to the larger achievement that reads, “President Trump is negotiating and renegotiating better trade deals, achieving free, fair, and reciprocal trade for the United States.” Under that umbrella are eight trade deals cut with Japan, South Korea, Europe and China.

“President Trump is a truly unique leader in American history. He’s a kid from Queens who became an international business leader and made billions by getting things when no one said he could,” said Trump’s 2016 campaign pollster John McLaughlin.

“They told him he couldn’t be president and beat the establishment and he did. For two years the establishment is telling him he can’t do things in Washington and he’s succeeding in spite of them. He never retreats. He doesn’t back up. He’s relentless. He just wins,” he added.

Comparing the two years shows that the latest has an expanded group of economic achievements while the pro-life category was folded into the health care section.

=========================================================

How about being a little objective...give Trump some credit. But when one has Trump Derangement Syndrome its hard...I understand but it can not change what has happened..you being a x-teacher makes me wonder how you influenced the thinking of your students.

Well to be objective you have to be truthful, and the author of your support article fails 100%. Lets cover the section where he says Trump became an International business leader. Facts tell us that is not true. Trump never made billions. His money was inherited from his father. If he had just invested what his father left him he would have made more. Trump has 5 or 6 Bankruptcies. Trump defrauded the City of NY out of 3 million on a joint hotel deal. The City got the money back from him. Trump just about took every bank in Atlantic City in to bankruptcy. Trump never paid his suppliers on time, and told many to sue him. One small business owner put a gun to his head and pulled the trigger. Trump paid 24 million to Students of Trump U for fraud. Trumps charity was put out of business for fraud, and he was fined $80,000. Trump was fined by the NJ Casino Control Comm. for taking 3 million from his father as a loan and not reporting it, he was fined for ties with the mob. Trump has had fraud in every building he put up and settled in court. Look at the empty space his building the the SD area was to be.

So now you can throw all the so called accomplishments out the window as they are not true, but a fiction of the authors mind.

YES young invades need to held totally incognito away from the press esp.

YES more taxcuts for the 1% are needed and should come from cuts to SS

I hope that was posted in jest because not one of the things is true.

Kidboy2-
Sometimes I wonder also how I influenced the thinking of my students- after all, that really was my job, to influence and change the thinking of my students.

I do hope I helped get my students to THINK- and see the world around them and what was going on.
I hope I influenced them to see when people in power were wrong and how to do something about the wrongness. I hope I helped give them skills to express their opinions in a meaningful way.

And I am quite objective- I would give tRump some credit for doing ANYTHING to improve the lives of people. But he has not. he has improved the financial standing of rich people and he has hurt and hurt badly other people who don't matter to him. tRump deserves no credit. He is an evil man who has done nothing but wrong.

Saying that shows that you are not objective.

How do I know this? Because I listen to what the GOPers in Congress have been saying for the past dozen years, and they are FOR all the disgusting things tRump is now doing or wants to do if only the Courts would shut up and let him. He may get his wish, now that Hillary Haters have allowed the ToadPOTUS to nazify the SCOTUS for another generation.
