Those of us on the boarder are watching local news with interest as the troops put barbed wire around their own encampment and play football and soccer. And you thought the weekly  trips to Mar-a-Lago were an extravagance of U.S. taxpayer dollars.

Guys .............  the migrant caravan is smoke and mirrors, nothing the regular US border patrol, National Guard already deployed,  and ICE can't handle.

When the "storm the barricades" occurs, we can revisit your assumption.

The use of US combat Troops is a test of the Posse Comitatus Act.

Stringing barbed wire is not in opposition to the Act.

$75.000.000 on this and $60,000,000. $135,000,000 would go a long way to help our homeless veterans. That is, if he cared about them.

Do you not believe in defending our borders?

You've posted this before and the answer remains the same:

1. They were not there to capture as you well know;

2. Do you object to them enjoying themselves in their free time; and

3. When Obama sent troops, was that a talking point?

Can you show where combat troops has been or will be used on the border?  From what I understand those deployed are from the engineer corps, plus military police for security of the troops, medical and transportation people, and helicopter pilots.

If these personnel had remained at their home stations wouldn't they be getting paid the same as here, plus being engaged in field training doing mostly what they have been doing at the border.  All mostly for training purposes....and wouldn't doing this under actual conditions better?

A good point but remember that this was not an allocation of extra funds in our nation's checkbook.  Every dollar was charged against our national Visa card because of the Trump tax reduction for the rich and corporations deficit.
