Every reputable study of illegal immigrants reveals that unlike our President,  they are one of the most law abiding groups in America.

Shall we then simply ignore all regulations regarding our borders?

God no but if we are are going to arrest people preemptively for violating rules before they have done so.........Trump is going to be in BIG trouble.

So what does posting about moving troops and equipment to Germany many years in the past have to do with the current issue of people at the southwestern border with Mexico - and all the lies trump and his faithful brigade of liars have been telling to try to gin up trump's own fake and non-existent threat to the security of the US?

Answer - not a **bleeping** thing!

How many exercises, etc have you planned? Does REFORGER count?

Of course you were on the staff planning the deployment, exercises, etc?  You participated, but were you in the overall planning, making decisions, etc?  And at what level?  Additionally equipment was pre-located.  Planning was done at a higher level than local level.

I was part of Brigade 75 where the 2nd Armored permanently deployed a brigade to Germany, but at our level my part was only to organize the IT part.

Doubt all you like. But folks holding your opinions would never have been included in the planning and after-action evaluation of such exercises more than once simply because REALITY must be the primary concern, NOT protecting the egos of those ordering the event.

Of course not, they would be solicitiing opinions of those who are against these exercises because of partisan purposes.  So what's your experience that makes your expertise better? The level at which it was obtained.

And where did you get that 'rear-echelon' stuff? Shoe fits pretty good I see

And what is your experience that makes you more qualified than military leaders? Not more, equally.

Of course the CC says he thinks it was a good deal - he keeps his job (and his sanity) by being able to put lipstick on pigs when that's required. Seems to be a common "ability" of Rear Echelon habitee's as well.

Familiar with military logistics? You betchya, which is how I KNOW they do NOT cost the same when depolyed as when at their home base.

So you had experience in higher up planning for deployments, putting into operation those plans, including costs, etc?  Doubtful.  What about comptroller experience in crunching the numbers?  Of course we haven't been involved in those areas.

But even common sense would say that these troops would be paid the same as if they were at there home base engaging in field training doing the same.

Have you considered what unit level commanders think of these deployments are beneficial for the troops, especially those who have had no experience in this area:

Over the weekend, Lieutenant Alan Koepnick's platoon could be seen stringing concertina wire, which is built to snag clothing, along one edge of a quiet riverside park near downtown Laredo.

Koepnick said some Laredo residents had voiced disquiet about the fencing and the presence of US troops.

'But there's also been a lot of support, people coming in, vets shaking our hands, bringing us cakes, water, things like that,' Koepnick told AFP.

Several soldiers AFP spoke to said their time on the border provided valuable real-world training, albeit without the risks of combat.

'We have a very large group of brand-new soldiers and it's really good for them," Corporal Samuel Fletcher said, citing a chance for the green troops "to do real work and put their skills to use'.

Homeless veterans is not the topic of this discussion...but of course you are attempting to change the subject.  But since you want to bring them up what are you doing for not only them, but homeless Americans?

Oh, I forgot, it's only acceptable for the Right and supposed independents to go "off topic".

Offer documentation of what you do to help homeless veterans and I may answer your question.

My point was that the money trump wants to spend on a ridiculous wall, the 60 million he has spent on golf vacations and the millions he spent deploying the military to the border could have solved our homeless veterans problem.

The wall is relatively cheap when you consider the net cost of each illegal alien ($8,000/year) but I know there are other considerations like each illegal alien will be able to vote for Hillary in the next election especially in blue voting districts where no concern is given to id, if a citizen, or even alive.

And yet, here is a real study which demonstrates undocumented immigrants contribute over $11Billion a year to our economy.  I checked your link and found zero references to any study or report. Looks like they did all the research themselves. Why is it that RWNJ publications never have any sources mentioned other than their latest trip to the restroom? Answer, because any facts would seriously screw up the fake news they continue to peddle.

Send in the next conservative to the arena!!!

Your "real study" comes from a radical left wing site with only the taxes illegals pay and no negatives.

https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/the-nation/

You and your left wing site neglected all the drain on society: crime, education, health care, food stamps, welfare, housing, and the list goes on. I wouldn't expect you (as a liberal) to be objective.

Familiar with military logistics? You betchya, which is how I KNOW they do NOT cost the same when depolyed as when at their home base.

Purpose? That would be to defend our Nation, NOT to be used as a $75,000,000 political stunt to drive lofos to the polls. And the GIs know that as well.

COULD have provided housing for a bunch of homeless vets? That's the real question - the money did nothing to protect our Nation so it was a total waste, just like jrbush's worthless wars that have racked up $5 TRILLION in waste to date and Republicans will insist be continued FOREVER.

So will our Nation continue to support political stunts and needless war, or come to our senses and eject the misanthropic GOPers so we can actually make life better for ALL Americans? 2018 seems to say enough of us have awaken to the relaity of Republicanism and 2020 will affirm our redirection toward a bright future for ALL of us, not just the GOPerLords and Death Merchants.
