Wait, I think there is confusion over differing resolutions. CNN reporting resolution passed 98-0 to reject Putin proposal to allow Russia to question ex-diplomats.

Quote: The resolution expressed the sense of the Senate that no current or former diplomat, civil servant, law enforcement official, member of the armed forces or political appointee should be made available to Putin's government for an interrogation. The proposal was produced by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, a New York Democrat.

However, Cornyn (R-Tx) blocked a proposal by Jeff Flake (R-**bleep**) that Congress rejected Putin's denial of election interference, and called for immediate sanctions. It's further down the page in the same story.

@Panjandrum
That 's why so many think Putin has a lot of dirt on Trump. Would love to hear about it.

One of the people Putin wants is the man behind the MAGITSKY act...you know.. what the russians wanted to talk to Donnie JR about. The act was signed into law in 2012 to allow for freezing the accounts of known civil rights violators. Its rumored this has caused billions of putins money to be frozen. At some point, trump will want this overturned, he has already said he agrees the man behind the bill shoud be interrogated in Russia.
So it begins.

"One of the most stunning things about the summit was the president's openness to a request by President Putin to question former United States ambassador to Moscow Michael McFaul and other Americans," Schumer said earlier Thursday.

What's stunning is that Trump would entertain such a thought for even a nano second.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) scheduled a vote for Thursday afternoon on a Democratic resolution warning Trump against handing over former diplomats.

The Senate will vote on the resolution around 1:45 p.m.on Thursday.

Democratic Sens. Robert Menendez (N.J.) and Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii), as well as Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.), introduced the resolution warning the administration against agreeing to let the Russian government question former officials.

"One of the most stunning things about the summit was the president's openness to a request by President Putin to question former United States ambassador to Moscow Michael McFaul and other Americans," Schumer said earlier Thursday.

Certainly if the presidenCongress must do everything in its power to block it. There can be no room for debate, no room for discussion. We must be clear and clear quickly," Schumer continued. agreed to such a request.

 Always something new everday. But we won't forget Mueller or Putin no matter how he tries to change the subject.
