Your attempt to include a wall as an element of border security is not funny ha-ha. Have the Trumpettes realized the "Mexico will pay for it" bit was an absurd lie from the getgo, so now you want us to pay for it?

Now Der Trumper is fixin' to close down part of the Government, INCLUDING Home Land Security to satisfy the lunitic fringe that still supports him. Let's see how that works out.

The seven appropriations that will run out of money 21 Dec are:Agriculture; Commerce, Justice, Science; Financial Services & General Government; Homeland Security; Interior, Environment; State, Foreign Operations; and Transportation, HUD.

Please note the Orange Toad is cutting off the money he said he'd give farmers because his moronic Trade War is bankrupting them. Also DOJ, which would theoretically shut down Mueller.

The R-House added the $5 B to the bill and passed last night. There's no way it will pass the Senate. If D's cave, they might as well pack it in for 2020. This is a fight that they have to have. Let Trump shut it down and take the hit for it.

The Senate Just Passed Another Continuing Resolution To Fund The Government - Not One Cent For The Trump Memorial Wall.

If the government is shut down, the stock market will take a big hit.

According to Sarah Huckabee, Trump was going to find another way to fund the wall.

So, Congress figures they they don't have to fund the wall. Hence - no money for the wall.

Then Trump said he WILL shut down the government if no money is set aside for his wall.

Congress panics. They believe Trump is crazy enough to do it. Wall Street will not allow Congress to shut down the government. Trump wins.

Look for lil donny to try and transfer funding for Syria into an "infrastructure project" to build his Grandeous Wall of Trump.

Pence might be worse, but its time to give him a try.

True, but it also has to pass the House before it goes to Trump for signature, and it's not clear that he will sign it. "Freedom Caucus" is trying to get votes to oppose the measure. The House may also try to tack on other ammendments to the bill to which the Senate would have to agree. It's not a done deal, but at least there is a bi-partisan effort in Congress to avoid a shutdown. Should it pass and Trump refuse to sign it, he will clearly be out on a limb by himself.

Appropriations Committee Chairman Frelinghuysen Statement on Legislation Funding the Government Through February 8, 2019

Washington, December 19, 2018

House Appropriations Committee Chairman Rodney Frelinghuysen gave the following statement on the introduction of a short-term Continuing Resolution (CR) to prevent a government shutdown and continue funding for critical federal programs and services until February 8, 2019:

“While I would have preferred to see the year end with the completion of all 12 Appropriations bills, at this point, we must move forward with a Continuing Resolution to keep the government running and fund basic services American families rely on.

“This year, we made great strides to get back to regular order – in fact funding nearly 75 percent of the government on time for the first time in over two decades – and that progress was incredibly important for national security and other critical priorities. I had hoped to continue this work with the remaining 25 percent of the federal government.

“However, as we’ve clearly seen over the past several weeks, there is still a broad ideological divide when it comes to securing our borders. Despite these differences of opinion, we all agree that a government shutdown is unacceptable. This measure gives the House of Representatives, Senate, and White House additional time to come to a responsible compromise that puts the security of our nation first.”

The Continuing Resolution extends funding through February 8, 2019, for the remaining seven Appropriations bills that have not yet been enacted into law.

These bills comprise 25 percent of the federal government, and include funding for the Departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Justice, Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, Interior, Treasury, State, and Homeland Security, as well as the Food and Drug Administration, the Environmental Protection Agency, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the federal judiciary, and other related government programs.

The legislation continues all policy and funding provisions included in the current Continuing Resolution (H.J. Res. 143), which expires this Friday, December 21. The includes extensions (through the duration of the new CR) of: the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA); the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program; the Pesticide Registration Improvement Renewal Act (PRIA); the National Flood Insurance Program; and certain immigration programs, including E-Verify, H2-B, and EB-5.

The CR also includes a limited number of additional provisions needed to prevent catastrophic, irreversible, or detrimental changes to government programs, to support national security and public health, and to make technical adjustments. These include:

  • An extension of the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards Act (for the duration of the CR);
  • An extension of two expiring provisions of the Pandemic All-Hazards Preparedness Act (for the duration of the CR); and
  • Extensions of critical Medicaid provisions (through March 31, 2019).

Yes but we already have 7500 Active Duty Troops on the Border - Not one of them was capable of attending to the needs of a 9 year old girl.........................so the Trump Engagement Strategy on the Border of Extreme Prejudice & Cruelty precludes any kind of recognized Humanity

Adding another 2000 Individuals willing to carry out the Heartless Non-Compassionate Policies of a Despot is not going to Help

In fact it reminds us of how many Americans are willing to continue degrading the Values America has always represented

Congress to push stop-gap funding bill with no border wall money

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Senate on Wednesday passed legislation to fund several federal agencies through Feb. 8 and avert a partial government shutdown, but without including $5 billion for a U.S.-Mexico border wall that President Donald Trump demanded.

Greates Deal Maker & Negotiator in History - How come Trumps always holding back?

Why - Simple - Emperor Has No Clothes - He's a Con Man & a Bully - Progressives Got a Mandate from the Voters

STOP THE BULLY - REMOVE THE CARNIVAL BARKER FROM OUR GOVERNMENT
