Interesting theory.

So immigrants that go through the process to become American citizens aren't necessarily so.

And a legal marriage license doesn't necessarily make the marriage legal.

The same goes for a divorce.

And people who adopt kids aren't necessarily parents.

Wonder what else can fit in there...

And there are asexual animals in nature that don't need to mate to give birth.

You keep bringing up all sorts of excuses, but none fits.  Immigration, marriage and divorce has nothing to do with the physical body as to gender.  However you have all three wrong since they satisfy the law.  But legally becoming the opposite sex doesn't make them physically so.  But when people adopt kids they do become legally parents, albeit adoptive parents.

And humans are not asexual, so none of the above has anything to do with the discussion.

Not excuses. Examples of your theory's inability to support itself. You don't like that people can change their gender, and the law recognizes them. That's your intolerance to carry. Plenty of bigots would say there's no way your wife should be considered an American. That's their intolerance to carry. Pick a group of people, and you'll find another group of people that object to them.

You said reproduction was nature's primary purpose for having two genders. There are elements IN NATURE that don't need two genders to reproduce. Your theory, once again, does not support itself.

The Weizmann Institute research did not identify any cause and effect genetic linkage to any aspect of homosexuality, bisexuality, gender identity issues, or gender dysphoria - because none has yet been identified by anyone - anywhere - ever.

The Weizmann research did NOT draw ANY conclusions regarding it's genetic studies and any aspect of the LGBTQ spectrum.

Liberty did, however lie shamelessly using the imaginary fetid implications resident within the unscientific religiously warped brains of Liberty personnel.

The Liberty publicity release is nothing but lying, dishonest innuendo with NO valid factual scientific basis whatsoever.

As I observed elsewhere - they were "Lying for the Lord".

91,

As far as I can tell, the article does not even mention gender identity. Please identify the part that does.

Just becoming 'legality' doesn't necessarily make one so.  As far as reproduction, isn't that the primary purpose in nature of being two different genders?

Apparently you are 'hung up' on the Liberty part and completely ignoring the .pdf file that was referenced in that article?  Liberty didn't do the research, but scientists in Israel.  So why aren't you blaming the Israelis?

There is no "hang-up", it is a case of false equivalency.  The study did not study what Liberty says it did.

Well, yes, Liberty was not telling the truth...

But they are excused...

They were honorably "Lying for the Lord".

As everyone knows, that makes everything all ok - doesn't it?

I've known plenty of women with all the "proper organs" who were never able to give birth, including through IVF treatments. I feel like I'm talking to Todd Akin.

And you are attempting to confuse the issue by bringing up those who are physically and naturally women with those who think they are women in a man's body.  That is not what has been said initially.

According to the thinking part, then if someone believes and feels they are something then they are?

You said:

"So a man says that he is a woman in a man's body is he able to give birth?  What about that old cliché about someone thinking he is Napoleon?  Does that make him Napoleon?"

You confused the issue when you equated being a woman to giving birth, as if that's a woman's only useful function. The fallacy lies where thinking and living as a woman is equal to a Napoleon complex. If being what you aren't naturally is considered a Napoleon complex, then we can extrapolate all kinds of things from that.

For instance, your wife, from what you've said, isn't a natural born American citizen. She's an American citizen now, although still not a naturally born one. Plenty of folks would claim she isn't an American at all. She went through the legalities to become an American, the same way any man, who desires to, can go through the legalities and become a woman.

So, who's worthy of the distinctions they've sought, and who isn't? Whose process deserves recognition, and whose doesn't?
