Wonderful - a Liberal writer for a far left mag decides that "Russiangate exists. Yet you can't dispute anything in the article.  Typical.

Russia and others have been waging cyber warfare for a long time.  And that makes it OK to you and other far-right extremists for some reason.

Any election interference happened before the Trump Presidency. But not before trumps candidacy.

The left just loves the term "gate" it was their only big success at undoing an election.  Which is why right-wing extremists used it many, many times with their fake consiracy's during the Obama administration.

The original "gate" was about covering up a break-in - no connection.

So, this is just the latest diversion from the real world of the Trump Presidency. Diversion?  Nope; it defines the trump presidency.

Nope, it defines the "Resistance".

all i ever see here is vague claims, big meaningless words and comments about germany in the '30s. if you have some "point by point" to offer, please do.

That sounds very much similar to the bogus things that those corrupt and dishonest republicans were trying to get people to believe when they spoke in defense of the guilty-as-hell Nixon way back then - now - the dishonesty and untrustworthyness of that majority of the republican party hasn't changed the slightest bit, has it?

No - not at all - trump has been travelling to Russia for over 30 years.

Russians have had plenty of time to turn him - and they have.

I suppose there are some obtuse and credulous dolts who believe that being on the political right is a vaccination against corruption and dishonesty - but looking at Nixon's, Reagan's, and both Bush administration's history of conviction for criminal corruption and dishonesty...

Well - that's why so many trump supporters are so very obviously certifiably obtuse and credulous dolts...

Little to no wonder they voted for him...

We will NEVER know the depth and breadth of Der Trumper's corruption until Democrats control the House and Senate.

Russiagate Is Far Wider Than Trump and His Inner Circle

"It isn’t just the story of a few corrupt officials, or even a corrupt president. It’s the story of a corrupt Republican Party.

.........................................

                                    ........................................................................................................"

I think it's fair to say that corruption is widespread in both major political parties in the United States. Republicans are in power in the Legislative, Executive and now Judicial.  That means Democratic corruption that does exist is largely irrelevant to the here and now.  Well....I guess it isn't IF the corruption peddlers can get a sucker to bite on that diversion.

So...corruption is rampant in the current Republican Party.  Most Republicans seem to think corruption happens only where money is involved. They are after all the party of the 'bouncing buck'.  IF there is no law against it, it's legal.  If it is not illegal, that somehow makes it OK.

No it doesn't.  It just means no one has written a law about it....yet.  Virtually all law is a response to perceived abuse of some sort.  The key is 'perceived'.

Money is a major motivation for Republican policy, however.  Single issue dog whistle motivators become tools for demagoguery when combined with it.  Gun Rights would be one. Abortion, emigration, race, social disorder, religion are among the others. Single issue voters latch onto the one that turns their crank and ignore the consequences of the rest.  Of such are coalitions made.  That's a bad thing.  A democratic Republic such as ours can't survive when people do that.  That behavior is corrupt and disregards the purpose of the Constitution itself.  Read it again.

Money isn't the only determinant of what is or is not corrupt.  Ethical corruption not having to do with money may not be visible to economic wonks, but it still exists.   Still,  a man sees [hears] what he wants to see [hear] and disregards the rest. Somebody else said that before me.
