You were the one who went off on the off-topic evolutionary line of thought and with insistence your theory was correct.

Does it's taxonomy make it a monkey? - or is it before monkeys are considered to exist?

There's no question that there are ancestral forms common to both old world and new world monkeys and humans back when the first mammals existed, so in one respect, humans share some ancestors with old world and new world monkeys -

The question remains - was/is that particular genus and species taxonomically considered a monkey?

Aruzinsky does not have degrees/advanced training in the evolutionary development of primates - all he did is an internet search.

Let's hear from a real bona fide certified expert with doctorates and training in the field of early ancestors of primates before what Aruzinsky posted is accepted as accurate and factual...

It's long been known and verified by molecular evidence and genetic sequencing that H.Sapiens' evolutionary path diverged from both new and old world monkeys, orangutans, and the great apes somewhere between ten and four million years ago - hence making it quite literally impossible for humans to have evolved from monkeys.

The last evolutionary path divergence somewhere around four million years ago was the divergence between the species Pan (chimpanzees, our closest living cousin) and proto humans such as Austalopithecus(Lucy), Africanus(littlefoot), Robustus and Boisei and other related genus groups that existed between 3.9 and 2.9 million years ago.  It's suggested that some protohumans may have existed as recently as 1.9 million years ago.

The oldest known fossil of Genus Homo is between 2.75 and 2.80 million years old.

Just because Roseanne and a bunch of scientifically ignorant ninnies believe it - doesn't make it true.

Need to remember - here in the United States - one in four people are so stupid that when asked, they will resond that they believe that the sun revolves around the earth.

No - it's nowhere near a coincidence that about the same percentage of Americans voted for trump - and may have been part of the same group that enjoyed Roseanne's shows...

Wrong as usual.  The last common ancestor of humans and chimpanzees was 6 million years ago and the last common ancestor between humans and all modern day apes was an ape that resembled a gibbon, 13 million years ago.

So, you're saying creationism is a fraud. I agree. And those who deny evolution are "wrong as usual".  Again, I agree.

I believe that Adam and Eve is a fraud but not creationism in the broader sense, i.e., I am an agnostic.   Adam and Eve and evolution are not mutually exclusive, because, if there were an Adam and Eve, their decedents would have evolved.  Evolution by natural selection is a viable mechanism that does not rely on assumed starting points such as Adam and Eve or monkeys.

Lol, @alferdpacker. Do you want to tackle @aruzinsky’s last common ancestor idea? Or should I?

Maybe he's correct - maybe not - If he's correct - guess that would verify that he's a descendant of a monkey, wouldn't it?

Did we(humans) evolve from proto-humans - various australopithecines and the like?

Well of course we did...

Were you around to document all of that?  After all these THEORIES keep changing constantly with every new discovery and theory.  Do you have solid proof about your dissertation that would hold up with time?

And no, I don't agree with anyone calling others names, regardless of who they are.

@aruzinsky- Ok - I'll buy that.

That doesn't bother me in the least.

I've known since the age of about twelve that I'm just the latest evolution of the line of apes.

When you get right down to how it really is, we have all evolved from primeval slime that eventually evolved into single cell life forms etc etc.

Works for me - but what about those people with unproved and unprovable belief systems who are trying to warp, twist, and pervert truth, fact, and reality?

Didn't SCOTUS say that there is absolutely no question that the wall of separation is - as a matter of irrefutable fact - an integral and intended portion of the intent of the majority of the Founding Fathers when they wrote the First Amendment?

Didn't SCOTUS verify in their readings of the writings of the Founders - that the principle of separation of church and state - a widely known of and equally widely accepted principle in the colonies starting as early as 1644 - was part and parcel of what was voted for when the First Amendment was ratified?

If those make-believers are really completely patriotic American Citizens, wouldn't their patriotism and love of the Constitution and country restrain them from engaging in scurrilous unpatriotic attempts to pervert our secular government?

Thanks for doing a search that verifies that all those "monkey descendants" are either incapable of recognizing the truth - or are deliberately avoiding admitting the truth in favor of their unproved and unprovable allegations...

The world's "monkey descendants" thank you.

So, if I understand the argument here.  Rosanne was simply having a late night discussion of evolution vs creationism when she tweeted that if the “muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby,” it would be former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett, who is black. Oh yeah. I am sure that was the case.

And you are not?  The topic is not about science.  And you are the one who took it off topic in a discussion about evolutionary theories.

Have a nice evening Alferd.
