Re: Repubs prefer lying Don to Honest Abe

According to Donald Trump himself, more Repugs think the Donald is doing a good job than thought the same about Honest Abe. What has happened to that party?

The Republicans of Lincoln's time were radicals, many were abolitionists, they were willing to die and kill for the freedom of other people of a different race. They didn't start the Civil war, but they fought it, and they gave up their children to fight it.

After the Civil war they wrote the 14th amendment,  they foresaw the current politics of today's Republican Party and made birthright citizenship a Constitutional right.

The Republicans Party of 2018 has gone 180 degrees in the other direction, they despise the 14th amendment and embrace the mentality of the slave owners of Lincoln's time. Including inhumane treatment of the people they hold prisoner, and separating families, parents and children separated and sold down the river.

Today's Republicans aren't the party of Lincoln, today's  Republicans are the party of Jefferson Davis.

Rationality and good judgement are good for you and good for me.  Win, win. The Republican Party has been taken over by people who very likely never had those attributes. Hard to get back what you never had.  That would currently be about 35-40% of the voting population according to the data I see.  That's not enough to install a full blown authoritarian regime when faced with a unified voter resistance.  There's the rub...only 'tea-totallers' belly up to the bar at 'last call' anymore. Easy way to prove me wrong about that in November.  Thank you for your rationality and goood judgement.  I really do appreciate it.

Today's Republicans are really PO'd at Abe - he is the reason their kids have to go to school with kids who are not white. The GOPerLords find Abe's elimination of guaranteed cheap labor that cannot cause problems for management a huge mistake, one which they have been striving to rectify with Union bashing and Right to Work for Much Less Laws while moving as many jobs to Commie slaves in Asia where the politicians know how to deal with labor unrest.

The GOPer base is so filled with hate by FOX, Breightbart and Infowars they really think it's some Mexican's fault they haven't gotten a real raise in decades and their college grad kids are living in their basement because they can't find a job that will pay off their student loans let alone buy a house.

They were so enraged with their situation they elected an emotional and intellectual infant who promised to fix things, and it seems their hatred still blinds them to the real cause of their situation -REPUBLICAN POLICIES.

They cannot be saved, but unless you want to be dragged into the abyss of the Republican Future -VOTE OUT THE NRAGOP IN NOVEMBER.
