And of course you conveniently fail to mention that President Obama inherited a massive recession from the previous Republican administration ....... the greatest recession since the great depression.

And President Obama was able to bring us out of that horrific recession.

A continued Democratic Presidency will finish clean up of the enormous mess that Republicans created and dumped on President Obama!!

The basic problem with what you call "social programs" - I guess in an effort to avoid saying "socialism" - is two fold, first what it does to the individual and second what it does to the government.

"It" aids the individual, most especially when they are disabled.

"It" shows that the government cares about ALL its people and not just the healthy and wealthy.

The individual loses his independence.

An invalid or disabled person already has no independence rk.  THEY NEED HELP!!!!

He becomes dependant on the whims of the bureaucrats. Example, the recently announced COLA.

The recently announced COLA does nothing for seniors and disabled veterans who rely upon it rk.  The COLA formula needs to be restructured to address their needs and not further reduced by Republican plans to employ the Chained CPI to cut COLA further!!!

The government, as a result, gains more power over the individual and that is the sort of thing that leads to dictatorship or at least a move from "the will of the people".

Ludicrous!!!

Oh sure, we still have the ballot. But, in circumstances where so much of the population is dependent on the government, it comes down to a case of who is going to give even more of other peoples money away and threats that the opponent is going to take something away from you.

The top 2% of America's most wealthy already own 80% of our country's wealth.  How much more do you want to "give" them rk?

As to your unpleasant comments to the poster about Medicare and SS - perfect examples of things by which the government owns us - we are dependent on them.

Just as you are dependent upon the government for your comfortable and secure government pension rk.  Good thing all those government programs existed necessitating employees like yourself, eh rk?

On Faux News? .....  Pretend news don't count NOTHAPPENING!

you must provide the so called original. No one is buying your doctored version except the radical left!

Your video was already thoroughly de-bunked .... and clearly shown that Hillary stated "aren't " relative to raising taxes on the middle class. No further action is required on an already de-bunked claim.

Here it is folks, the real original (still waiting for Cat and Myexper to post their version of the "original"):

No need to wait for anything more as what you post was already thoroughly de-bunked!!

A link to a bogus video de-bunked with computer analysis by experts (professors) in linguistics from both the University of Chicago and the Massachusetts of Technology!!!

So, if I understand you correctly, you can't provide the so called "original" because I already posted it and your liberal "experts" can see something no one else can see?

How do know that the "experts" are liberals? Is it the same way that you recognize the validity of you bogus video .... by self proclamation?

All anyone (including you) has to do is play the Youtube video (full screen) and you can do your own analysis as most thinking people did.

"Thinking people" already know that Hillary would not say what you believe and instead rely on expert testimony.

The conclusion I have is she actually said this and didn't realize it or she meant it OR you can provide a so called real original (not bogus as you claim).  I choose to believe she meant it but one would never know since she lies better than 50% of the time!

Where is your evidence to support your "50% of the time"?  Perhaps just another self proclamation .... like your bogus video?

Here she is folks saying she will raise taxes on the middle class while Donald is going to lower everyones taxes.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLhqobB-88U

Not true NOTHAPPENING.

It's too late to try and fool anyone with your bogus video as most all "folks" already know for quite some time that Hillary actually stated "AREN'T going to raise taxes on the middle class" in that video ...... as determined using computer analysis by linguistic experts (professors) from the University of Chicago and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Democrat talking points I see, they really don't say much. However I will say I do like some social services that provide safety nets for children but all should be sort term only, no country can provide for everyone, especially when we are not producing products we can sell. In time to continue these programs it will be necessary to take assets from people and as it stands now it will be our generation.

Many here do not seem to understand why America has been the greatest country in the world it's all due to capitalism, but the system is breaking over greed and poor moral judgement.

Democrats have done nothing in past 8 years to help old people or the working class nor has the GOP, I'm an independent thinker I don't us talking points from either party, but if either party ever does anything to help America I will acknowledge.

It appears many do not read all news and the direction our society is taking, we're moving to a socialist society, far too many people out of work (95 million) someone has to care for these people guess who, taxpayers. With a Democrat president for 8 years nothing has improved in the economy, low wages, part time jobs, loss of manufacturing, uncontrolled immigration, all this continues to harm our country, yet  many here believe Hillary will help us, sadly your wrong but certianly I cannot convince you at this late stage in your lives.

5. Why do you have so much trouble with the word "partial"?

Because even "partially" de-funding the SS program would jeopardize it and lead to it's demise.

There is no defunding proposed. As I said, initially it would create a need for additional funds to offset the invested part, but once established there would be no loss of funding and a potential for increased pay outs.

That is based on math and it has been scientifically established that math gives a large portion of our society headaches. I believe that many of them are less educated Right Wingers.

Could you explain the positive contribution that makes to an adult discussion?
