Apparently you are behind times pardner.  More and more school districts are instituting free lunches for everyone.  This is due to federal policy being changed allowing this based on the percentage of free lunches given because of income.  There are more than one school district giving free lunches to every student in our area.

Of course because the federal government subsidizes the lunch program, it is the current administration pushing this.

Based on the topic - how do you know that all those hungry kids have irresponsible Republican parents pumping out kids they can't feed?

Republicans making kids go hungry

In Colorado and Texas, Republicans are making schools force children to throw their lunches in the garbage if they are even a few cents short, then go hungry. Republicans view this as a cost cutting measure. Apparently, Georgia Republicans are implementing that same policy here in Georgia. The punchline, when Texas Republicans implemented this school lunch policy to save money, they found enough money to build TWO NEW HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL STADIUMS COSTING $75,000,000 APIECE.
