Republicans have a weird definition of "winning"

Trump famously bragged that America would win so much under his administration that we would get tired of so much winning.  I believe that was the same afternoon he promised that Mexico would pay for "the wall".

Since his election, he has failed at every initiative he promised.  He tries to fight Chinese trade and gives up at the negotiating table. He tries to get out of wars and manages to lose any gains we had.  Don't even get me started on the wall.

He does seem to provide the Republicans with a type of winning they seem to cherish. He has a very, very good excuse for each of his failures.  My own experience with managers was that none of them cared why I did not achieve my metrics, only that I did or did not.  Trump's supporters don't care as long as he can come up with a catchy slogan and a good excuse. It is one of the reasons so many Republican children are snowflakes.  They can fail at anything as long as they have a good excuse.
