What laws?  The Green New Deal is a policy platform to start discussions on how to move from heavily subsidized greenhouse gas producing technologies to clean technologies like the rest of the world has. It is a roadmap for making America great again after 50 years of aristocratic rule.

As to your last comment - "aristocratic rule"??? Because LBJ dropped the tax rate as the costs of WWII were finally recognized to be over?

Where did you get that idea? I think it is important to discuss the Marxist leanings of the Progressive Movement. Of course you like discussing the fallacy that you created. On the other hand the reaction from the left is always hatred for the successful (and a claim on their property), or something about Reagan tax cuts, or Norway. And can you show sources supporting those erroneous claims of "the left" wanting to "claim other's property" or their "hatred for the successful" ? Can you show how hatred has anything to do with Reagan tax cuts or Norway?

I do find it disheartening to see people willing to abandon the traditions and operating principles of our nation's successful model for no other apparent reason than a desire to have "the other guy's stuff" - aka wealth redistribution. So then you should have been against the wealth redistribution that Reagan's "trickle down economics tax plan" started that redistributed wealth and income from the middle class and lower to the top 1%.

No "wall" but a large 30' high foundation (on the Southern Border) to put those solar panels and windmills on with EPA funding it. Not only will it benefit the U.S. but will not clutter the landscape with windmills every property. This is the real "new green deal"!

Germany has been installing solar panels in the median strip of the autobahn for several years now, but that's nothing compared to some of the other projects in Progressive countries:

Located in a newly established solar complex in Southwest Tunisia, the project will use the Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) technology deploying parabolic mirrors connected to molten salt energy storage in a surface of more than 5,000 hectares- an area almost 3 times the size of Manhattan. Power will be sent to Europe via cables under the Med.

Asian Renewable Energy Hub (AREH) – 6,000 MW solar/wind – Australia 

An international consortium of energy companies has recently presented its plans to export colossal amounts of solar and wind energy from Western Australia to Southeast Asia via Indonesia and Singapore.

The hybrid power plant would be spread over 14,000 square km in flat desert land on the Northwest coast of Australia. It would comprise approximately 1,200 wind turbines supplied by Vestas, and 10 million solar panels with an aggregated capacity of 6,000 megawatts (MW). 4,000 MW would be supplied by wind energy, and 2,000MW from solar. It is estimated that this amount of power will be enough to supply electricity to more than 7 million households. 

Tidal Lagoon Cardiff- 3,400 MW tidal – Wales, UK 

Tidal Lagoon Power (TLP) is the power project developer for this innovative renewable energy project to be located in between Cardiff and Newport. Once completed, the project will be able to provide electricity to every single household in Wales, which is more than 3 million people, by only using the powerful tides of the UK’s west coast. 

The development process began in 2013 and the project received approval for grid connection last September. The impressive element of the project is that it attempts to scale up a relatively niche technology. If completed, it will harness the second highest tidal range in the world and will change the global landscape of tidal energy once and for all. 

And here in the USA, Republicans arrange to KILL an additional 1,400 of their fellow citizens EACH YEAR with the pollution from their elimination of regulations so we can burn more COAL.

I get it - you don't like coal, you like big taxes on others, you would like others to pay for the new green deal. Sooooo, you should like my suggestion - build a big foundation for all those solar panels on the southern border and it won't cost a red cent - funded by EPA!
