The topic is inaccurate. With cooperation from the Dems, the budget could be passed and there would not be a shutdown.

I'm just sitting back wondering how many of his   I WILL DIE   until the ship goes down, or go down with it, are any of them affected by the Shut Down?

Does it hit them in the Pocket, or just a lot of Democrats?  I hope he doesn't screw up a lot of peoples lives that really do depend on a regular pay check. Not everyone is Rich.

If so , he does** NOT CARE.**

Really?

Trump never asked them to build a wall - to make it a priority - until just a few weeks ago

Trump asked them to protect him from the Justice Dept - they did

Trump  asked them to give his Rich Peers a Tax Cut - they did

Trump asked them to forget he backed Putin instead of every US Intelligence agency - they did

Trump asked them to protect Kavanaugh from credible Sexual Assault charges - they did

Trump asked them to give him Fanatical Right Wing Judges - they gave him two

Trump asked them to forget the Saudi Crown Prince ordered the Kidnapping - Torture - Murder & Dismemberment of a US Permanent Resident - they did

Trump asked them to believe North Korea was No Longer a Nuclear Threat- they did

Trump has signed multiple CR's - if the Wall was really a priority he wouldn't have

He's just changing the News Cycle off of Michael Cohen - Paul Manafort - Michael Flynn - Roger Stone - Trump Foundation - Trump Inauguration- Trump Corporation - Trump Presidency - all under investigation for multiple felonies

Walls & Shut downs simply change the conversation

He campaigned on it. It has been a budgetary sticking point since he became President. Bitterness at life in general does not change the truth.

The Senate offered him 5 times the money he's asking for now - if he compromised and passed the DACA Legislation

This isnt Rocket Science

Everytime you bring up this issue about Trump Campaigning on a Border Wall - you conveniently Neglect To Mention the rest of th he Campaign Promise

MEXICO WOULD PAY FOR THE WALL

I can see Right Leaning Voters looking at a Wall being paid for by someone other than US Tax Payers & jumping behind it

Now he wants these same American Voters to pay for it themselves

DO NOT SUPPORT AMERICANS PAYING FOR A TRUMP MEMORIAL WALL

Especially if that's the only part of the National Immigration Nightmare that Trump cares about

Trump Promised Mexico Would Pay - That was the Campaign Promise Trump Voters Supported

Weeding through all the extraneous stuff and getting back to the basic premise that the Congress has been working as an agent of the President - if it was, the wall would have been funded.

The childishness such as it being a memorial wall is not a factor, only a distraction.

That he did...he was willing to do so if he could not get a wall...a campaign promise.

It was Chuck Schumer that did not want the wall ... walls do work... so it was Schumer and the fact that he would not compromise that caused the government shutdown.

KidBoy, did you even watch it on TV? You either didn't or you're just purposely being disingenuous about what was said.

In what world is it OK to shut down the federal government to keep a campaign promise?

Finally, Trump and the Republcans controlled the White House, the Senate, and the House for the past two years. Why didn't they approve funding for the wall during those 2 years? Oh, maybe it was because they were waiting for Mexico to pay for it? I'm LOL.

I remember him making that outrageous comment at the time.  One way he could still do this is by funding the wall with some money saved by stopping the war with Syria and withholding the Mexican aid ($320 million/year). That way we get the wall immediately and Trump gets to say: "see I told you Mexico was paying for it" (note it will take some 15+ years to get Mexico to pony up that much)!

Schumer  gave Trump the wall for DACA - Trump declined because he doesnt understand negotiation compromise the US Government or his own job
