Republican Majority's Last Act Government Shut-down

It's obvious yet again that RK cannot admit his idol and hero in the White House broke a campaign promise. Trump said Mexico would pay 100% for the cost of a border wall.

He also said it would be a big, beautiful wall, like everything trump builds.

The House and Senate did not promise that the Mexican government would pay for the wall.  Candidate Donald Trump bragged that he was such a great "Deal Maker" that when America built a wall, Mexico would pay for it.  I think this was the first failure-to-deal of the Trump administration.

No deal on immigration. No deal on health care. No deal on gun control. No deal on spending cuts. No deal on Nafta. No deal on China trade. No deal on steel and aluminum imports. No deal on Middle East peace. No deal on the Qatar blockade. No deal on Syria. No deal on Russia. No deal on Iran. No deal on climate change. No deal on Pacific trade.

If a buyer for plumbing supplies at Sear's would be fired for such a record.

You are forgetting that this started with a comment about the Republicans owning the House and Senate. That does not effect Mexico. The President can negotiate deals but cannot dictate to the Mexican government.

As to the rest, you are confusing the powers of the President vs that of the Congress - and typing "no deal" by rote without thinking.

Is anyone surprised that RK is at a LOSS?

Should we remind RK his hero and idol in the White House repeatedly promised his loyal and dedicated base that MEXICO would pay 100% of the cost of a wall? Comrade Trump said there would be no charge to the taxpayer. So much for failing to keep a campaign promise.

Does it hit them in the Pocket, or just a lot of Democrats?  I hope he doesn't screw up a lot of peoples lives that really do depend on a regular pay check. Not everyone is Rich.

If so , he does** NOT CARE.**

ONLY Democrats are worried about the government shutdown. Republicans are worried about illegal aliens, crime, taxes, overbearing government, regulations galore, and mandates.

Despite controlling the White House, Senate, and House for 2 years, the Trump administration failed to get Mexico to pay for his wall. Remember when Trump told us how big and beatiful his wall will be? Remember when he said 100% of the wall will be paid for by MEXICO?

After a 2 year failure, crybaby Trump is holding federal employees and the federal government hostage to demand the American Taxpayer, not the Mexicans, pay for his stupid wall.

The topic is inaccurate. With cooperation from the Dems, the budget could be passed and there would not be a shutdown.

Democrats offered $1.5 Billion for border security but Trump would not take it. Now, the Democrats must cave in order to make Trump and Putin happy.

Mitch McConnell stated that he is waiting for the President to articulate what he will sign as the incompetent president has made no statements beyond his whacko demand for funding 16th century technology. The government will open when Trump decides what he wants and is willing to make a deal. He has not shown any talent in making deals to date so I don't have a lot of hope.

Why would Putin want our borders secure??

Is the Dems fence also 16th century technology?
