Republican Majority's Last Act Government Shut-down

A Trump Cult member completely ignored the arguments I made. He did what he always does, he CHANGED the SUBJECT.

Trump worshippers are locked into a bogus theory which Fox and Trump promote. And that is, if you're opposed to Trump's stupid wall, you are against "Border Security". That's a flawed premise, but what else would you expect from those who are glued to the Fox Propaganda Network 7 days a week?

Fox Viewers/Trump supporters also operate under the bogus, flawed theory that illegal immigration is somehow a major threat to our country. We have much more pressing, serious issues.

One day we'll be shocked if and when Trump's number one defender actually reads what is written and then responds directly to arguments posed by others without changing the subject. But that would mean he would have to deal with specific criticism of his idol and hero in the White House. On 2nd thought, I'm wrong. That will never happen.

The same old trash talk about "cult members" and Fox.

He ran on border security, he is acting on border security, all the Dem leadership has spoken positively in the past about border security and all you have to offer is "glued to the Fox propaganda network 7 days a week".

Border security and common sense immigration were cornerstones in the Trump Campaign and is the main reason he won the election.  

How dare him work to put them into place...

The dimms are on the wrong side of this and President Trump knows it, he will win...

True - that is sorta the basic idea of "discussion" - opposing views are exchanged - or a silly picture is offered instead. I'll leave it up to individuals to decide as to the maturity of the approaches.

Skipping past the childishness of "idol and hero", rk is quite willing to state that the President was unable to get Mexico to pay for our border security.

And he wonders about Americans not wanting to do so for partisan purposes.

lil donny needed a bright-shinny to distract people from the criminality raging in his administration, so he threw a TanTrump and took away paychecks for 800,000 Federal Workers because they're mostly Democrats, or so he claims. The 2018 election added Senate seats for the GOPers, but not nearly as many as many thought. The dissatisfaction with Trump and the GOPers for the shutdown, the Kavanaugh nomination and attacks on PPACA have left GOPers with a geatly reduced base.

Looking towards 2020, Dems are poised to hold what they have and pick up 5 additional Senate seats - Maine, Colorado, Iowa, North Carolina and Arizona, taking back control of the Senate and the chances lil donny will be able to run on a work-release from Levenworth are rather remote, so they'll have the White House as well and can begin to undo decades of Republican obstructionism.
