Correct, OAN's sharing a reporter with the Russian government as reported by Maddow is news, and contrary to your assumption, I always appreciate her SOP - of exposing facts.

from your link:

However, the lawsuit included an Aug. 6 letter from Amy Wolf, an attorney for NBCUniversal News Group, to OAN's attorney.

It said OAN "publishes content collected or created by a journalist who is also paid by the Russian government for writing over a thousand articles. Ms. Maddow's recounting of this arrangement is substantially true and therefore not actionable.

Well kid, if that were true you probably had no need to further denigrate Maddow via ratings comparisons, that have nothing to do with your topic, that is not a conspiracy. You just think she's in trouble and that makes you happy. You'll just have to find your thrills elsewhere.

Thanks for your advise, but what Maddow did is news and what she did is SOP for her. If you do not like it that is your problem.

You have no idea of what makes me happy but say what you want about me I will take it for what its worth.

What Maddow did was tell the truth which is SOP for her, and have OAN try and use her to further their aims to replace FOX as Dictator Trumps new mouth piece. The far right at work fighting among themselves and trying to involve thinking people. As usual they will fail.

One America News sued Rachel Maddow for more than $10 million on Monday for defamation after she called the conservative television network "paid Russian propaganda."

The TV network, whose attorney said the company is "as American as apple pie" and has nothing to do with Russia, filed the federal defamation suit in San Diego. In a statement, OAN claimed Maddow knew her statement was false and "acted maliciously and recklessly in making it."

The small, family-owned network based in San Diego is challenging Fox News for conservative cable and satellite TV viewers and has received favorable tweets from President Donald Trump.

The lawsuit contends that Maddow's comment on her July 22 MSNBC show were retaliation after OAN President Charles Herring accused cable television giant Comcast of censorship. The suit contends that Comcast refused to carry the channel because it "counters the liberal politics of Comcast's own news channel, MSNBC."

A week after Herring sent an email to a Comcast executive, Maddow opened her MSNBC show by referring to a report in the Daily Beast that said an OAN employee also worked for Sputnik News, which is linked to the Russian government.

"In this case, the most obsequiously pro-Trump right-wing news outlet in America really literally is paid Russian propaganda," Maddow said on "The Rachel Maddow Show."

"Their on-air U.S. politics reporter is paid by the Russian government to produce propaganda for that government," Maddow said.

Its time and it could not have happened to a more deserving person.

Do not get to excited as if the back story is true you have just fallen into the quick sand OAN wants you to. I would suggest to all that you watch OAN and see what they broadcast. I have. What I have seen is nothing but far right nonsense with truth not really having a place. They have gotten worse over the last few months. They are supposed to be trying to replace FOX as the official Trump news outlet. They started this drive in earnest when Trump started to go after Fox and how he was covered. At one time RT was looked at as the best supporter of Trump, but lately OAN I think has replaced them. I last looked at OAN this past weekend while traveling. They would fit well into the far right as like Trump very little truth will you find. Now the law suit is one way for OAN to try and make some news and they want badly to be on COMCAST. This is just another far right nonsense distraction.

Kid - Maddow and her conspiracy theories are coming back to bit her.

Well kid, if that were true you probably had no need to further denigrate Maddow via ratings comparisons, that have nothing to do with your topic, that is not a conspiracy.  You just think she's in trouble and that makes you happy.  You'll just have to find your thrills elsewhere.

Poulsen quoted former FBI agent Clint Watts, who suggested OANN employing Rouz means the outlet has merged with “Russian state-sponsored propaganda.”

“This completes the merger between Russian state-sponsored propaganda and American conservative media,” Watts said. “We used to think of it as ‘They just have the same views’ or ‘They use the same story leads.’ But now they have the same personnel.”

OAN's lawyers give the Daily Beast until August 15 to respond. Again, the Daily Beast should do nothing of the sort. To prove that the Daily Beast's reporting is defamatory, OAN's lawyers would have to prove that the news outlet engaged in actual malice in their reporting. OAN would need to show that the Daily Beast knew they were lying in their reporting or showed reckless disregard for the truth in their reporting.

Ain't going to happen. Syria is why.

OAN's, as "American as apple pie" is the rancid recipe Putin & dt concocted together.  That pie has been baked, gobbled up and making many sick.  Some even have to eat prison pie these days.

The lawsuit and threats against the Daily Beast and Maddow are going nowhere.  The Discovery phase of allegations and evidence is already documented.

OAN's relationship with Putin's & dt's propaganda.

For the second straight month, MSNBC host Rachel Maddow has ended up in fifth place overall, gaining no ground from her show's fifth-place finish in July. Ratings data compiled by Nielsen show that in August, The Rachel Maddow Show was down a bit from July, delivering an average total audience of 2.327 million viewers (in July, Maddow had an average total audience of 2.487 million).

The August ratings suggest July's drop to fifth place was not just a one-off result, but perhaps a sign the show has slipped as other shows have gained strength, like Fox News Channel's Tucker Carlson Tonight and The Ingraham Angle, which finished in second and third place in both July and August.

For a time, it seemed Maddow was threatening to topple cable news' top-rated host, Fox's Sean Hannity. In March 2018, The Rachel Maddow Show finished in first place with an average total audience of 3.058 million viewers—the show's best-ever performance in the 9 p.m. ET hour. MSNBC's ratings had been climbing, up 30% in the first quarter of 2018, while ratings for FNC and CNN were down. Hannity rallied back, and for a time Hannity and Maddow were consistently the top two shows in cable news.

Maddow and her conspiracy theories are coming back to bit her. That and her "I am the greatest" style is getting old even with the left.
