Re: Pelosi Plans to Revisit Trump Tax Cuts

Well here we go again. This is one of today's subject put forth by the leaders to the followers to put out to change the subject from the real news. It never ends a new try every day, and a failure everyday as all thinking people know what is going on.

This subject is really a stupid one to bring up. You can not have a tax cut when it increases the deficit as the Trump law does. The money is borrowed so people pay less now, and then pay more later as the cost of borrowing the money is added in. The Trump Tax law is even worse since the system of who pays was changed. Now the middle class on down will pay more, Corp. pay nothing, and the rich very little more. Now our far right think that will give them more votes, and they feel better. Well it is on the level of how Trump thinks.

Now real news of the day.

1. How about the attack on Sen. McCain by a WH staffer, and the lack of response by the WH or Reb. in Congress. They have all set a new low standard, show they are creatures of the swamp.

2. Now we hear Cohen went to Ford Motor Co. selling influence to the President, but Ford turned him down. We can be proud of Ford. How many more business were contacted by the Trump mob boss for money. Who would have ever thought the mob would take over the Fed. Govt. Well it looks like they have.

3. How about what the the WH Chief of Staff said about people crossing the border, and why they would make bad Americans. If we had done what he wants todo the WH Chief of Staff would not be here as his grand parents fit what he called unfit people to live here. Now  are we all proud of what he wants. The far right is.

4. The Presidents lawyer Rudy tells us the Trump killed the AT&T business merger that AT&T paid Cohen for. We are told that Trump told the Fed board who hears these cases to kill it. That never happened before. Only in a dictatorship does this type of thing happen, and as I have said we are in one under Trump. Is everyone proud.

That is enough for now. Lets not fall for the right wing nonsense and not waste time on the silly stuff. Post some of the other things the Right Wing Trump mob did today to destroy the country.

You need to peek out of the RWNJ bubble more often.

Between 1980 and 2016, the American public never met a tax cut it didn’t like. In the decades between Ronald Reagan’s election and Donald Trump’s, Congress passed major, tax-reducing legislation six times — and on each occasion, a plurality of voters were onboard.

And then, America met the Trump Tax Cuts. When Congress passed the president’s signature legislation in December, it was the least popular tax bill in modern American history — a measure even less popular than the tax hikes passed under George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton.

Good.  She better.  Our nation was founded on having a strong middle class, and that's rapidly disappearing.  Nations don't survive income inequality.   The wealthy are the powerful, and they are changing everything to benefit themselves.   That's not how our country was supposed to work.

Pelosi Plans to Revisit Trump Tax Cuts

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said that if Democrats take control of the House in November and she’s elected as their leader, she will seek to revise the GOP’s tax cut bill to reverse its estimated $1.9 trillion increase to federal budget deficits.

"The tax bill is a dark cloud over our children’s future," the California Democrat said Thursday at the Peterson Foundation Fiscal Summit in Washington. "We want to revisit in a way that puts the middle class first and reduces the debt."

Pelosi said she would seek to negotiate a bipartisan extension of the tax bill’s middle-class tax cuts for individuals, which expire in 2026. The new tax bill would be one that "promotes growth, generates jobs and reduces the deficit," she said.

Republicans have been highlighting the tax cuts signed by President Donald Trump in December as polls show Democrats have a chance of taking the House and perhaps the Senate in November’s elections. But the issue may be of limited value to the GOP. An April NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll showed that 27 percent of Americans said the cuts were a good idea, a decline from 30 percent in January.

Pelosi didn’t say whether she would seek to raise the corporate rate -- which was cut to 21 percent from 35 percent -- and didn’t specify other tax breaks she would seek to end. The GOP tax law gave an array of temporary tax breaks to other types of businesses and to individuals -- including rate cuts that will tend to favor the highest earners.

Pelosi promised to follow pay-as-you-go procedures for any new spending, though she didn’t specify how she would fund the infrastructure and education proposals in the Democrats’ election-year platform.

"Wouldn’t it have been better if we had spent over a trillion dollars on infrastructure" instead of "tax breaks for the wealthy?" she said.

The U.S. budget deficit is projected to rise above $1 trillion per year in 2020 and remain at that level, according to the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The democrats appear to have no clue as to why they lost in 2016.
