Hmm "Form of Socialism".  Since the conservatives are not able to describe what they mean by the word "Socialism", could you describe what you mean by the term "form of socialism"?  Do you mean "more cost effective and better outcomes"?

Interesting that JimC did not name the topic: “Our ignorance of authoritarianism

is dangerous”.

That seems like a more applicable topic as to what is happening in our Country and the World.

And NH, Scout knows what he’s talking about!

It is entirely possible for intelligent people to discuss some subjects with feeling the need to throw in trump (with a small "t").

It is true, jim did not use authoritarian in the title. There is no reason such a topic could not be started.

Do you have any thoughts on this topic?

Considering how few Socialists there are in the United States and especially among liberals, I think it would be a more productive topic to discuss the dangers of a Zombie apocalypse.

Yes, yes, the ever popular "Zombie apocalypse" non-response. Do you have any thoughts on the topic??

BTW - we do have posters that praise nations practicing a form of Socialism - you for one, as I recall.

The topic?  I guess our ignorance of Socialism is dangerous since:

  • Conservatives can not define the term
  • Conservatives believe that more efficient, cost effective, and more effective ways of delivering services as demonstrated by real world experiences must be "Socialist" for reasons they cannot articulate.
  • Conservatives believe every liberal is a socialist. This is a bit like claiming every liberal is a member of Antifa (of course, we all WANT to be)
  • Conservatives continue to distribute this misinformation.

You keep trying a apply a socialist label, not "applying" pointing out the topic

but socialism is not our biggest concern at the moment. What we are experiencing is authoritarianism, and a wanna be dictator, trump...with a small “t”. Yes, that has been mentioned in topic after topic. Do you have any thoughts on this topic.

He’s not worthy of a Cap! Nor is he part of this topic.

Besides, we try to have intelligent discussions, but trump threw that out the window and his supporters follow blindly along behind him. That has no relationship with the topic.
